NEW DELHI, Jan 18:
No-frills carrier AirAsia Indiatoday announced the launch of itsservices to Srinagar and Bagdografrom the national capital, com-mencing next month.
The Bengaluru-based airlinewould also start a direct flight
on Delhi-Pune route.The launch of two new desti-
nations and one new route isaimed at improving regionalconnectivity and increasing theairline's footprint in the country,AirAsia India said in a release.
The new services will be rolledout from February 19, it said.
"AirAsia India is consistent-ly growing and is on a rapidbusiness expansion mode. Weended 2016 on a highly positivenote and are delighted to contin-ue the same momentum in 2017with the launch of two new sec-tors and an additional route,"AirAsia India chief executiveofficer Amar Abrol said.
With the launch of these serv-ices, AirAsia India would now flyto 13 destinations through its hubs--Bengaluru and New Delhi --covering Chandigarh, Jaipur,Guwahati, Imphal, Goa, Pune,Vizag, Kochi, Hyderabad,Srinagar and Bagdogra.
The airline also announced
special fares from as low as Rs1,999 for the New Delhi-Srinagar flights and Rs 2,499and Rs 2999 for Bagdogra andPune flights from New Delhi.
AirAsia as a group stronglybelieves in enhancing connec-tivity and making air travelaffordable for all, Abrol said,adding Bagdogra and Srinagarare key sectors for the airline'sfurther growth in the domesticmarket. (PTI)
NEW DELHI, Jan 18:
Government today approveda package for supporting themicro and small enterprisesacross the country, which entailsaugmenting the corpus of CreditGuarantee Trust Fund for suchventures and doubling the cov-erage of loans under the creditguarantee scheme.
The post-facto approval was
granted at a meeting of theUnion Cabinet chaired by PrimeMinister Narendra Modi here.
Under the package, the corpusof the Credit Guarantee Trust Fundhas been enhanced from Rs 2,500crore at present to Rs 7,500 crore,which will be fully funded by thegovernment. Moreover, coverageof the loans under the credit guar-antee scheme has been increasedfrom Rs 1 crore to Rs 2 crore.
Further, coverage of thecredit guarantee scheme forloans being extended to microand small enterprises by NBFCshas also been increased.
"Augmentation of the corpuswould facilitate larger flow ofcredit to micro and small enter-prises. This in turn, would leadto increased output and employ-ment and thereby promote equi-ty and inclusiveness.(PTI)
