    This course is a course set up to have students understand the United States

    government, how the economy functions, its effect on the world, and the importance ofbeing informed citizens. It will be broen up into two semesters, having an e!am at the

    end of each semester covering that semester"s material. The first semester will

    concentrate on #overnment while the second will be primarily focused on $conomics,

    however at times it is important to understand a concept about one to understand aconcept about the other.

    The class will be taught at the %onors level, and will be designed to help prepare

    the students for college, as well as e!pecting a certain amount of personal responsibility

    of students that choose to tae the class at the honors level.

    pens and pencils, highlighter, art supplies when reuested *or use what is provided+

    )oteoo*s!(ou will be reuired to tae notes in class, which should be included in your

    noteboo. This noteboo should also include information that I will give you in class,

    writing assignments through the year, and any other handouts that are given. Thesenoteboos are sub-ect to be graded at anytime if I feel students have not been bringing

    them to class or eeping their materials together. $ach semester will be graded separatelyin the noteboo. t the end of the semester, students will stop being responsible for thosematerials.

    /ate wor will not be accepted after a wee, unless further arrangements are

    made. $ach day it is late points will be deducted accordingly.

    ll material assigned in class is sub-ect to assessment.

    (ou will have either a uiz, test, or pro-ect to be graded on each unit, possibly all

    three.
