Picis OR Manager and Anesthesia Manager help to support patient safety

• The OR Manager system can make the site and side fields mandatory during the booking process and are available on SmarTrack® (any screen) and in ALL documentation screens

• With conditional preference cards, the correct supplies are automatically selected on the pick list to pull. For example, if a patient has a latex allergy, the system will pull non-latex supplies; such as catheters. The latex allergy and all precautions are on every SmarTrack board for all clinicians and staff to review when caring for the patient

• OR Manager documents the “Electronic Time Out” to ensure patient safety while providing notifications to ensure completion

• An electronic check list in Preop Manager is available to all perioperative staff to ensure all pre-surgical tests are completed, current history and physical is available and proper consents have been signed

• In Anesthesia Manager, drip dosages are calculated automatically based on the patient’s weight and pump rate – or – pump rate is calculated based on patient’s weight and dosage
