6.3.5 Library, ICT and physical infrastructure / instrumentation
ICT is extensively used in our college. Some of the PCs are loaded with encyclopedia, dictionary,
for reference.
All data related to teachers and students are stored in the computers and teachers have
proficiency in handling computers.
Department of library and information centre is connected to internet. Hence additional data can
be obtained at the fingertip.
College has 1 audio-visual room which is provided with smart board. Teachers make use of the
facility for conducting seminars, PPT presentations and extension activity.
Library follows open access system. Books are issued to students, and teachers.

Goal:
To keep students updated with day-to-day affairs. also to enhance their knowledge.
Objectives:
1. To create interest in the students
2. To reduce stage fear
3. To organise thoughts in a precise way
4.To cater students with variety of information
5. To give students an opportunity to speak
The Context: Students were used to adopt to traditional way of learning process. Student lacked self
confidence and communication skills. So, this innovative method was introduced in the morning
assembly. It intended to benefit maximum students in minimum time.
Practice: In morning assembly, students were randomly selected. The student spoke on different topics
for few minutes in morning assembly under the guidance of teachers.
Evidence of Success: Students started actively participating class room activities like seminar,
debates; discussion etc. Student took initiation in participating various college programmes.
Problems encountered and resources required: Some Student failed to attend morning assembly
due to lack of on time bus facility. Lack of time to conduct

Goal:
To build a bridge between student and faculty research interest.
To enhance scholarly attitude of students
Objectives:
1. To improve student creativity
2. Finding facts with new perspectives
3. To help students to understand the subject and discover hidden knowledge.
4. To promote research culture among students.
The Context: It was observed that students were mostly learning the content by notes or guide type
books. Their study was mostly superficial which is exam oriented. There was lack of interest towards in
depth knowledge or research oriented learning. We wanted our students to go beyond university
curriculum. We wanted them to make their study for in depth knowledge who can debate, talk in their
subjects profoundly.
Practice: After the normal class hours, teachers gave special time for selected student research scholar.
Teachers shared their study material for in depth knowelge.Focussed group discussion was conducted.
Extra books are provided for study. These students given an opportunity to have one-to-one discussion
with subject experts. Students works published in college magazine.
Evidence of Success: Some of these Students scored highest marks in academics. Quality articles are
contributed to college magazine. Quality and level of discussion enhanced in classroom and other
activities
Problems encountered and resources required:
1. Due to lack of bus facility, student could not spend time after class hours.
2. No canteen facility for lunch
3 Teachers are busy with hectic academic and administrative works
4. Due to non availability of fund; no new and updated books are not purchased .
