Re: The Computer Museum
• letters from attendees of the Computer Museum Fund Raiser on Sept. 27 • follow up letters • lists of people who attended • lists of people who were invited and declined
I think a follow up call to each individual would be appropriate, but would be most effective if we knew which ones were already members and whether they are active or not. Can you find out which ones are members, how much more $ you think we can squeeze out of the ones who are members and what specifically we should ask for out of those who are not members? I have taken the liberty of setting aside an hour for Bill to do his follow up work ...
Best regards to you and your new assistant,

Dear Bill:

After a bit of inquiry, I've determined that while Bank of Boston is already a Corporate Member of the Computer Museum, we have not actively participated in its programs nor have many people truly been aware of our involvement. In fact, it was even suggested that we might consider dropping the membership in 1989.
We will definitely continue our membership and in addition, we will make a conscious effort to become much more familiar with the museum's offerings and will supplement the normal systems areas with High Tech and Venture Capital personnel for dissemination of program information, etc.
Hopefully, by the end of next year total awareness and involvement will have significantly increased.
Kindest personal regards,
Sincerely
Executive ,,'ice President

You were thoughtful to invite Sue and me to the extremely enjoyable and informative evening Tuesday night. We were pleased to have our first opportunity to be at the Museum as well as listen to Scott's remarks, which I believe are right on the money.
Thanks for including us.

Dear Bill:

'!hank you so nnlch for hosting Grace and me at the Computer Museum. I really enjoyed hearing scott McNealy talk. I have read so nnlch about hiln; it was a real treat. I am glad we were included.
I did not mind the gentle kidding at the dinner, but would like equal time if I am same day c:hainnan of an event at \\'hich you are a guest. Maybe we can keep the roast going.
I understand from Marian that your son will be reporting to Pensacola on January 9, after TBS. My son is hoping to start flight instructor duties in May of 1989, \\'hich would be about the time your son would actually clllnb into an airplane after completing his preflight at Pensacola. I will, obviously, tell Mark to be on the lookout for hiln.
Best regards,
Sincerely,

After a bit of inquiry, I've determined that while Bank of Boston is already a Corporate Member of the Computer Museum, we have not actively participated in its programs nor have many people truly been aware of our involvement. In fact, it was even suggested that we might consider dropping the membership in 1989.
We will definitely cont:tnue our me.mbership and in addition, we will make a conscious effort to become much more familiar with the museum's offerings and will supplement the normal systems areas with High Tech and Venture Capital personnel for dissemination of program information, et~.
Hopefully, by the end of next year total awareness and involvement will have significantly increased.
Kindest personal regards,

I am sorry that Janice and 1 were unable to hear Scott NcNealy speak at the Computer Museum. I belive the Museum is a worthy endeavor and speaks well for the industry. I do get, a s I a.m sure you do, many requests for donations. I am prepared to contribute 200 shares of Intermetrics stock to the Computer Museum. If you would have someone at the Museum contact Carol Doherty (661-1840) here at the Company, she will arrange the transfer.

I enjoyed the evening at The Computer Museumj thank you for inviting us. Arthur Young would be pleased to become a corporate member of the museum. You will see from my letter to the Office of Development that we have applied for membership. I decided to add to that a contribution to the capital campaign.
It is easy to notice the great pride you have taken in the good work of this institution; we are pleased to join with yOU in that.
All the best!
Sincerely,
