INTRODUCTIONGoogle Glassis a wearablecomputerthat is being developed byGoogle.It is worn on a person's head, with a screen sitting in front of theeyesthat displays information like asmartphone. It is instructed throughnatural language voice commands.Plan is to make them attached to regularglassesandsunglasses.

Prism ProjectorActually it is a prism onto which a projector sends an image. That image is what your retina focuses on. So this combination of a miniature projector and a prism allows Glass to show you an overlay to reality. The angle of the prism directs the image directly into your fovea, the part of your retina where you have the most visual acuity.

Bone Conduction TransducerBone conduction is one reason why a person's voice sounds different to him/her when it is recorded and played back.A headset is ergonomically positioned on the temple and cheek and the electromechanical transducer, which converts electric signals into mechanical vibrations, sends sound to the internal ear through the cranial bones.AdvantagesDoes not block outside soundMaintains sound clarity in very noisy environmentsLow on battery comsuption

Interior MapsAnother capability that Google has added to its mapping capabilities, although it depends on the merchant - Strand Books, in this case. But yes, Google users can navigate indoors, as long as the augmented GPS (GPS+Wi-Fi, to determine location) knows where you are.

DisadvantagesHigh Price - The Explorer Version of the Glass is prices at $1500. Which is very high. But Google says the it would sell the normal version at a cheaper price.Availability The Explorer version is only available to the developers right now, and is being sold through invites onlySmartphones- They have to compete with smartphones as they provide similar functionality.

DisadvantagesNot Pocket friendly- They difficult to handle and are very fragile.Battery- They have relatively low battery live by standards of wearable's as it has to worn all day.Advertisements- Google being Google .Plans to show advertisements on them.Distraction They could prove to a source of distraction , working , driving car , walking during rush hours, meeting.

DisadvantagesAlready Banned- Glasses have already being banned in some places like in some restaurants , cafes ,bars movie theatre.Makes Conversations Awkward- It can be distracting , might hamper your sight and may make the other person extremely uncomfortable.Might Connect you to the virtual world but could also disconnect you from the real world (family and friends).Looks like rude and Anti social.

PrivacyThe Biggest problem Google Glass faces is privacy .Because it becomes extremely easy to breach anyone's privacy.And there literally no way of stopping anyone from recording video or taking a picture.It would also make governments to spy on there citizens.

Future UsesSaving lives Could be used while performing difficult surgery .the doctor could communicate with other experts.Sports The viewer would get real time update of score and even could be used by player and officials.Citizen journalist - Normal person could record corruption and criminal activities happening in his area.

Future UsesAugmented Reality Google could upgrade to an augmented reality device which could used play games (like Oculus) or to interact with the physical environment .Education Could be used in field of education , would make learning much more interactive.Exploration- they could really help in exploring newer area such as rainforests and even space

TransformationGoogle has already started working on the successor to the GlassAnd it is Google lens , they would have ophthalmic electrochemical sensors embedded in them.Would initially measure the body vitals like blood sugar.
