RECREATIONAL ACTIVITY
RUBIK’S CUBE
Rubik's Cube is a 3-D combination puzzle invented in 1974[1][2] by Hungarian sculptor and professor of architecture Ernő Rubik. Originally called
the Magic Cube. On the original classic Rubik's Cube, each of the six faces was covered by nine stickers, each of one of six solid colours: white, red,
blue, orange, green, and yellow. In currently[according to whom?] sold models, white is opposite yellow, blue is opposite green, and orange is opposite red, and the
red, white, and blue are arranged in that order in a clockwise arrangement.[1For the puzzle to be solved, each face must be returned to have only one
colour.
It helps with improving memory.
Learning the ways of solving the cube improves patience.
It helps become a problem solver.
It helps with mapping of the things.
It keeps the mind active.
Speed cubing makes our reflexes faster.
It improves our fingers dexterity and agility.
Keeping these objectives in mind, Rubik’s Cube activity was conducted for class -II on _17.05.2020,Saturday.
The session was conducted from 9:00-10:00 am by Mrs. Mukul Srivastava .
During this session, students were exposed to various terms and techniques related to the successful completion of layer-1
which was quite a new thing for the beginners. However, it was heartening to note there were few students who had already
mastered level -1 and in fact ,some wonder kids also who are already masters in solving the complete cube.
