Goodman Extended Labor Warranty Policy Now that Goodman is enforcing the requirement of signatures on extended labor contracts, Johnstone Supply will

require either a signature or an email address from the homeowner on all warranties we register. Please review

the two accepted methods of Warranty Registration below.

A. Digital

If the dealer is typically computer savvy, you may want to sug-

gest they collect email addresses instead of physical signatures.

This is especially useful when the dealer does not have a con-

tract to collect a signature on.

B. Paper

If the dealer does not typically conduct business over the com-

puter, they can collect a physical signature. The dealer can ob-

tain a single contract a time from the counter, or request a

stash of their own.

1. The dealer arrives at the home, performs the work, and in-

cludes a Goodman labor warranty in their invoice. The dealer

records the model and serial numbers of the items installed, as

well as the homeowner’s email address. The dealer alerts the

homeowner to the fact that they will be receiving an email from

Goodman asking for an E-signature. The E-signature process

takes less than a minute.

2. The dealer comes to one of our seven stores to retrieve a war-

ranty application. The dealer fills out the application fully, mak-

ing sure to include the homeowner’s email address. Counter

staff will invoice the dealer at this time.

3. Once the warranty is processed by Johnstone Supply, Good-

man will send the homeowner an email requesting their E-

signature. All warranty coverage is tentative until this step is

completed.

4. The homeowner and dealer will each receive a copy of the Service Agreement in the mail.

1. The dealer arrives at the home with a paper contract on hand.

After the dealer performs the work, they record the model and

serial numbers of the items installed, and then collect the home-

owner’s signature on the contract.

2. The dealer comes to one of our seven stores to submit the

filled-out and signed application. Counter staff will invoice the

dealer at this time.

3. The warranty is processed and submitted to Goodman by

Johnstone Supply. All warranty coverage is tentative until Good-

man verifies that the signature has been submitted with the

application.
