The Standard is designed to support, recognize and reward collaborative efforts to manage and take action on shared water challenges.

TRAINING FORMAT

AWS Asia Pacific will provide three levels of training - foundation, advanced and specialist, for organizations who plan to implement water stewardship in their operations or organizations, or for consultants who would like to offer AWS consulting, training and/or auditing* services.

This interactive training program caters for 10-40 participants per day and consists of presentations and both individual and group exercises. Participants can choose to attend Foundation (day 1, half day), Advanced (day 1 and day 2) or the Specialist (day 1, 2 and 3) training, depending on their specific interest and business. All participants will receive a training package including the presentations, exercises, the AWS standard and participants list, according to their days of attendance.

The training program will be taught in English, but there will be a translator (including headsets) for translation to Bahasa Indonesia (and vice-versa). Discussions can take place in Bahasa Indonesia, but preferably in English.

All Advanced and Specialist trainees will receive AWS certificates after successful completion of the training test at the end of day 2 or 3. There will be ample networking opportunities amongst participants, including an AWS dinner for all participants attending the Advanced and Specialist training, on the evening of day 2.

COSTS

Costs include hotel accommodation (in Bogor), food & beverages during the training, an AWS dinner on day 2 (for Advanced and Specialist), training materials and certificates. Participants are expected to arrange and manage own transportation costs.

For participants only attending day 1 and not staying in the hotel in Bogor, the costs are 4 million rupiah. A discount of 10% is available to current AWS members. Special discounts are also availablel for more than 2 participants from 1 organization.

Foundation (Day 1, 8.30am - 5pm)

5,400,000 RUPIAH ($515 AUD)Get a better understanding and awareness on water challenges at site and catchment level and how the AWS standard can provide a framework for action. We will bring in lessons learned from the region in applying the AWS standard and present the relationship between the AWS Standard with other Standards and sustainability initiatives.

AWS Forum (Half day 9am)FREE

This event is free and open for anyone who is interested in Water Stewardship. Participants of the training are encouraged to attend.

Advanced (Day 1 + Day 2, 8.30am - 5pm)

8,600,000 RUPIAH ($820 AUD)

Achieve a deeper knowledge of the AWS standard’s criteria and indicators and build confidence in working with the AWS standard, through training and group / individual exercises. The Advanced certificate will enable stakeholders to integrate water stewardship in their work and qualifies them to participate for the Specialist training.

Specialist (Days 1, 2 & 3, 8.30am - 5pm)11,750,000 RUPIAH ($1,120.00 AUD)

Review the case studies examined in day 2 from an auditor’s perspective, including going in-depth into the requirements of the AWS Accreditation Standard, the AWS Self Verification Standard and the AWS Certification Standard. The Specialist certificate will lead to full accreditation and becoming qualified auditors*, trainers and consultants.

*Please note: Participants who undertake the Specialist training with the intention of becoming an auditor should contact Basja Jantowski, AWS Asia-Pacific Country Representative (Indonesia) before registering to check if they are eligible.
