The Summer BRIDGE program is designed to assist students from multicultural back-grounds in making a smooth transition to Gonzaga University and the greater Spokane community. Summer BRIDGE is run through the Unity Multicultural Education Center which facilitates many of the diversity cen-tered events and programs on campus. Build a BRIDGE from home to school. Students of the Summer BRIDGE program establish last-ing relationships with faculty, current stu-dents, and BRIDGE alumni. A solid founda-tion is laid for a network within the Gonzaga community that the students can rely on.

The learning process continues even after the program’s conclusion, through mentoring and multiple opportunities throughout the year.

Let me count the ways... Establish a solid network of friends, faculty

and staff.

Informational sessions with Gonzaga Profes-sors which will give you a head start with college academics.

Learn about campus resources and familiar-ize yourself with important GU offices and sites.

Explore Spokane and learn what the city has to offer.

Move into your residence hall and buy books before the rush.

Summer BRIDGE 2012 Counselors are going to lead the participants during the program. We have students from all walks of life: age, hometown, major, and inter-ests, to make sure every BRIDGE first-year student can make a connection. They can’t wait to serve and help you navigate through the college transition!

BRIDGE Counselors are GU students who lead, help, and encourage students throughout the program
