The Summer BRIDGE Coor-dinators are responsible for organizing the whole BRIDGE program. These Gonzaga Stu-dents have worked at UMEC (Unity Multicultural Education Center) all summer to ensure that the BRIDGE experience is the best it can possibly be. The B-Core members look forward to welcoming all the new students!
The Summer BRIDGE program is designed to assist students from multicultural back-grounds in making a smooth transition to Gonzaga University and the greater Spokane community. Summer BRIDGE is run through the Unity Multicultural Education Center which facilitates many of the diversity cen-tered events and programs on campus. Build a BRIDGE from home to school. Students of the Summer BRIDGE program establish last-ing relationships with faculty, current stu-dents, and BRIDGE alumni. A solid founda-tion is laid for a network within the Gonzaga community that the students can rely on.
The learning process continues even after the program’s conclusion, through mentoring and multiple opportunities throughout the year.
Let me count the ways... Establish a solid network of friends, faculty
and staff.
Informational sessions with Gonzaga Profes-sors which will give you a head start with college academics.
Learn about campus resources and familiar-ize yourself with important GU offices and sites.
Explore Spokane and learn what the city has to offer.
Move into your residence hall and buy books before the rush.
