LAKE EPPALOCK 10 BOATING
For Boating/Fishing
All safety equipment to be in good condition
and easily accessible.
Check the weather.
Tell someone where you are going,and when you intend to return.
Don’t go boating alone.
Keep a good lookout.
Don’t overload your boat with either
people or gear.
Don’t anchor in channels.
Carry adequate fuel.
Display an anchor light when fishing at
anchor at night.
Ensure your motor and electrics are well
maintained.
Boats containing sleeping accommodation and/or toilets are
prohibited on Lake Eppalock.
Parra-sailing is prohibited without prior written authority consent.
Vessel Operating and Zoning Rules for water levels 179.999 AHD
(17.4% Capacity) or less – as measured at the head gauge board
located on the outlet tower in Tower Bay.
All waters of Lake Eppalock are zoned 5 knots with the exception of
Tower Bay which remains prohibited to all vessels.
Rubbish must be placed in receptacles provided.
Camping is prohibited at Lake Eppalock unless in a designated
caravan park or club site;
Camp fires are prohibited on the foreshore;
Cutting, felling, damaging or removal of timber is prohibited;
Motorbikes must be registered with licensed riders and must only
operate on designated roads.
Danger - Water levels and boating conditions at Lake Eppalock may
vary from day to day. Standing timber and submerged landforms
exist within this storage and be hazardous to boating.
Power lines traverse Lake Eppalock in a number of locations and
may be hazardous to boating.
Algae can be present in Lake Eppalock
Water in Lake Eppalock is not for potable use!!
