2016-17 Winter Crisis Program Effective November 1, 2016 through March 31, 2017
The Community Action Committee of Pike County will operate the 2016-17 Winter Crisis Program (WCP) effective Nov. 1, 2016 through Mar. 31, 2017. The Winter Crisis Program is a federally funded program designed to help eligible Ohioans meet the rising cost of home heating during the winter months. Applicants must meet 175% of Federal Poverty Guidelines. The WCP provides financial assistance to income-eligible households that are threatened with disconnection of their heating source; have already had service disconnected; need to establish new service or pay to transfer service; or in the case of bulk fuel customers, only have 10 days or less supply (or 25 % or less of tank capacity) on hand. The WCP program year runs from November 1 to March 31. Agencies have until April 14 to finish processing incomplete or pending applications. Winter Crisis funds can be paid on behalf of an eligible household once per winter heating season.
PLEASE BE AWARE THAT IN ADDITION TO ALL THE
DOCUMENTATION THAT YOU HAVE HAD TO HAVE IN THE PAST, YOU ARE NOW REQUIRED TO HAVE A BIRTH CERTIFICATE. You may contact the Pike County Health Department to obtain one

little to no response to the option of paying higher dues in exchange for coupons to the Time
