Kong Productivity Council (“HKPC”) and the Committee on the Promotion of Civic Education (“CPCE”). This is the

third time that the Group had received the recognition, reaching a new height after the achievement of the Bronze

Award and Certificate of Merit in the previous two years.

Launched in 2010, “The Hong Kong Outstanding Corporate Citizenship Award” is aimed at recognising the

achievements of enterprises in corporate social responsibility (“CSR”) and promoting good corporate citizenship

values. In 2012, the Group further extended its flagship CSR project “Ten-year Mobile Eye Surgery Centre

Donation Plan” for affordable cataract treatment to Inner Mongolia in addition to Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region,

Jiangsu Province and Shandong Province. To benefit more people, the Group’s corporate volunteer team

promoted a proactive approach through regular cataract prevention education and visits to cataract patients in

Mainland China.

Apart from active community involvement, the Group has always been concerned about environmental protection,

to the extent of implementing green production measures and developing eco-friendly coating and ink products in

earnest. The establishment of the independently-run “Yip’s Care Extension Foundation”, an education foundation

for children of staff, testifies to the Group’s strong advocacy of employee care. The Group’s unwavering

commitment to CSR has been judged worthy of the Gold Award this year.

The award scheme is one of the main activities of the “Hong Kong Corporate Citizenship Program” co-organized by

HKPC and CPCE. There are three categories, namely the Enterprise Category, the SME Category and the Volunteer

Team Category with each including gold, silver, bronze awards and certificate of merit. Award winners have to

undergo rounds of panel interviews and selection procedures.
