The Do Good Divas would like to express their gratitude and appreciation to everyone who supported our annual signature event “A Girls Night Out in Handbag Heaven”. This unique fund-raiser has allowed the Do Good Divas to support and improve many health care programs and services in our community for since 2007.
This year proceeds will benefit the Canadian Mental Health Association Windsor-Essex County Branch. We have pledged $35,000 toward the purchase of a much needed replacement passenger van. This van is used daily by CMHA staff to support clients in the Windsor-Essex community. Mental illness affects 1 in 5 Canadians at some point in their lifetime and the Do Good Divas are proud to be able to support the CMHA in our community to ensure the continuation of this critical service.
Also we are happy to pledge an additional $8,000 to Windsor Regional Hospital toward the purchase of ten (10) specialized nourish chairs for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The Do Good Divas are pleased to contribute to the care and comfort fo these precious patients.
The Do Good Divas are also committed to raising awareness in our community about the need for organ and tissue donations. Organ donation is critical
