SOME OF THE VERSES IN THE BIBLE ABOUT GODS RAGE Psalm 18:8 Smoke went up out of His nostrils, And fire from His mouth devoured; Coals were kindled by it. Exodus 34:7 yet He will by no means leave the guilty unpunished..." Deuteronomy 32:41 And My hand takes hold on justice, I will render vengeance on My adversaries, And I will repay those who hate Me. The Greek words for wrath indicate Gods intense displeasure at sin and His judgment against sin. FOUR TRUTHS ABOUT GODS WRATH R ightness - Gods wrath is one of Gods perfection Romans 11:22 Behold then the kindness and severity of God; to those who fell, severity, but to you, God's kindness, if you continue in His kindness; otherwise you also will be cut off. Severity means to be cut off. God is good! But dont mistake His goodness for weakness or unresponsiveness toward sin. How could God be good if He looked the other way when faced with evil? QUESTIONS How can a police officer be good if he sees a crime and does nothing? How can a firefighter be good if he sees a fire and doesnt try to put it out? Gods goodness contains not only the positive things He does, but also His negative reaction to evil.
