  • J.O.Y. (Just Older Youth) LunchJoin us for the next J.O.Y. lunch on Thursday, April 18th at 11:15 am. Barbara Peterson from Cheekwood will be our guest speaker. Cheekwood is hosting the second ever North American exhibition of LIGHT, a stunning art installation by acclaimed British artist Bruce Munro. LIGHT will be on display May 24 - November 10 and promises to draw visitors to Cheekwood in record numbers. Come and hear about this upcoming exciting exhibit.

    Erin Seay will prepare orange glazed chicken; green salad with berries; broccoli casserole; rolls and berry Nutella bread pud-ding. To make a reservation for lunch, call the church at 352-6210 or sign up at the front desk.

    Next Painting Prayer Is April 10th at 6:00 pm God's Love Blooms in Me!

    The next painting prayer will meet on Wednesday, April 10th in room 216. (Cost is $15 for supplies) Let’s celebrate spring by praising God and painting flowers! We will use some cool acrylic mediums to give our blooms added dimension and texture. This is a great one for all ages! Please let Carrie know if you are com-ing. [email protected], 289-2343.

    Wednesday Night TogetherThe menu for Wednesday, April 10th is: Kings Ranch chicken; warm pea salad; green salad; rolls; dessert; and kid’s table. Supper is served beginning at 5:00 pm and programming begins at 6:15 pm.

    To make a reservation for dinner, call the church at 352-6210 or sign up at the front desk in the lobby. Stay after supper for program-ming that includes: Men’s Bible Study; Prayer Shawl/Knitting Group; Painting Prayer once a month; Pastor’s Bible Study; Youth Bible Study - an overview of the Old Testament; and Children’s Choirs at 6:15 pm.

    Children’s Choirs’ Spring MusicalCostumes! Acting Lines! Music ensembles! It’s Children’s Choirs’ spring musical, Elijah! All children, kindergarten through 5th grade, are invited to come to rehearsal on Wednesday nights from 6:15 - 7:00 pm in the children’s wing. Come and help us make it the best mu-sical ever!     Spring Book Club SelectionHave you ever uttered a one word prayer to God and felt guilty for not saying more? Come, discover how single words such as help, thanks, and wow are essential to our prayer lives. Our next book club will discuss Anne Lamott’s new book: Help, Thanks, Wow: The Three Essential Prayers. Feel free to bring your lunch. We will meet in the Library from 12:15 - 1:15.
