SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (Dec. 27, 2011) – It’s a match made in heaven. The world's largest provider of Web hosting, domain name registrations and net-new SSL Certificates Go Daddy, known for its edgy Go Daddy Girls has announced its decision to sponsor Hannah Teter, an Olympic medalist with a heart of gold and the spirit of a champion.

Hannah Teter is an Olympic snowboarder that won the gold medal in halfpipe at the 2006 Winter Olympic Games in Torino, Italy and took home the silver medal in women's halfpipe at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. In addition to her athletic achievements, Hannah shines in the charitable world, supporting numerous causes with her prize and endorsement monies.

The Olympian is committed to making a difference in the world’s poorest communities through her charity, Hannah’s Gold. The proceeds of the maple syrup she sells go towards providing water to a Kenyan village and helping mothers and children with AIDS to acquire their own land.

Go Daddy has long supported strong and talented women like Hannah, who serve as positive role models for others. "Sponsoring a successful athlete like Hannah who has the talent, the brains and the looks, while dedicating her life to making such a huge difference in the world is a no-brainer" said Go Daddy Founder Bob Parsons.

Teter has worked to raise money for Darfur, sponsors children in Honduras and the Philippines through Children International, and is a Boarding for Breast Cancer spokesperson. In 2010 Teter launched a new charity initiative, Sweet Cheeks, which donates 40% of its underwear sales proceeds to Children International to help feed children living in extreme poverty around the world.

Adding to her Go Daddy-esque hottie credentials, Teter was one of only four American athletes chosen to model for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in 2010 in a section devoted to Winter Olympians. Her sexy spread turned quite a few heads. Hannah later shrugged off any criticism of her decision to pose, stating: "I don't believe in the criminalization of bodies and women having to be ashamed of their bodies. That's just so wrong."

Because of the difference Hannah has made in the lives of others, Ben & Jerry’s Homemade Ice Cream from her home state of Vermont even named a limited edition flavor, called Maple Blondie in her honor. Part of the sales proceeds go to Hannah’s charitable foundation.

"I love Go Daddy’s risqué style" Teter said, upon being informed of Go Daddy’s decision. "It is an honor to be sponsored by Go Daddy. I love how they always portray women as strong and successful. I couldn’t be more excited that they have decided to sponsor me and I can’t wait to see what we can accomplish by joining forces!"

While Go Daddy is working to keep the specifics of the sponsorship under wraps for now, it has said that it will be supporting Hannah’s efforts on the slopes and her charitable endeavors in the future. It has been rumored that Hannah may even make a cameo appearance in Go Daddy’s next Super Bowl commercial.
