Sarah McCree ©2013Family and Consumer Science/Grade 9Date: October 10th
Short-Term Goals
Short-term goals are activities that are current and could be applied on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis (PRlog, 2009).
An example of a short-term goal would be completing all your algebra homework for the week.
Medium-Term Goals
Medium-term goals derive from short-term. They could relate to several months to a year such as a school semester. Medium-term goals take more of a step-by-step process (PRlog, 2009).
An example of a medium-term goal would be wanting to run a 5K that is several months away.

Long-Term Goals
Long-term goals take longer time to accomplish than short-term and medium-term goals. Long-term goals are about 5 years or more and usually consist of dreams; however, individuals should never allow long-term goals to limit their actions through life (PRlog, 2009).
An example of a long-term goal as a freshman in high school could be to be accepted into a favorite college.
