Go Natural this Holiday Season! Apple Pie Scented Tree Ornaments made with Frontier Ingredients * To make “Organic Apple Pie Scented Ornaments” – use organic cinnamon & organic all-purpose flour. You will need: • 3 cups all-purpose flour * • 2 cups Frontier Salt • 1 cup Frontier Apple Pie Spice * • 2 cups water • 1 teaspoon Aura Cacia essential oil of your choice* suggestions - lemon or cinnamon oil (optional) • Parchment paper • 1 plastic straw • Ribbon, raffia • Other decorating materials (optional) Preparation: Mix dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Add water and oil gradually. Stir continuously until liquid is completely absorbed. Knead for a few minutes. Chill, covered, for 1½ hours in the refrigerator. Roll dough flat on parchment paper to 1/4 –inch thick. Cut designs with a cookie cutter or make your own designs with a small knife. Using the top of a straw, place a small hole in the top of the ornament. Place ornaments on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake at 250˚ for 1 hour. Carefully, remove baking sheet from oven and turn ornaments over. Place back in oven and bake for 1 more hour. Remove when very firm, and set aside to cool. Thread with raffia or ribbon.
