NobelProcera™ Zirconia

FACT SHEET VERSION 1

– All commercially available veneering materials designed for use with

zirconium with a CTE of 10.4 are suitable.

– For long-term clinical success follow the recommendations and

handling instructions of the veneering material manufacturer.

Our recommended partners for veneering of NobelProcera Zirconia are:

Ivoclar Vivadent– IPS e.max Ceram and IPS e.max ZirPress are certifi ed for NobelProcera

Zirconia frameworks.

– The veneering ceramic IPS e.max Ceram is used for the conventional

layering technique. It is available in A-D, Chromascop and Bleach

shades and additionally offers a comprehensive range of Impulse

powders, shades and essences.

– For the press-on technique IPS e.max ZirPress is used.

The ingots cover the A–D, and Bleach shades and are available in three

different translucency levels. Additionally two gingiva colours can be

used to reproduce (large) gingiva parts.

– Ivoclar Vivadent recommends cleaning of the framework

(running water or steam jet and subsequently drying).

No blasting with Al2O

3 or polishing jet medium. Application of IPS e.max

Ceram ZirLiner prior to veneering / press-on in order to achieve a sound

bond as well as an indepth shade effect and fl uorescence.

– Well adjusted fi ring parameter with low temperature increase and long

term cooling (last fi ring cycle) lead to an optimum bond and a homog-

enous fi ring result.

Additional veneering material recommendations and supporting guidelines are available

from Ivoclar Vivadent on www.ivoclarvivadent.com

Noritake– CZR and CZR Press are certifi ed for NobelProcera frameworks. Both of

them are available in A–D, additional six bleach shades and two original

pinkish NP shades.

– The veneering ceramic CZR is used for conventional layering tech-

niques. It produces natural tooth shades.

– For the press-on technique CZR Press is used. CZR Press is available

in 24 shades of fl uorescent ingots, each in two translucencies.

Additional veneering material recommendation and supporting guidelines are available

from Noritake on www.noritake-dental.co.jp

VITA– VITA VM 9 and VITA PM 9 are certifi ed for NobelProcera Zirconia

frameworks.

– The veneering ceramic VITA VM 9 is used for the conventional layering

technique. It is available in VITA SYSTEM 3D-Master and VITA classical

A1 – D4 shades.

– For the press-on technique VITA PM9 is used. VITA PM 9 is available in

ten VITA SYSTEM 3D-Master shades (incl. two Bleach shades), as well

as three different translucency levels.

– For minor corrections of the substructures after sintering, VITA

recommends to work exclusively with diamonds and a turbine with

water cooling.

– No sandblasting of the outer surfaces. Avoid too much pressure and

use the indicated speed (observe Nobel Biocare instructions).

Additional veneering material recommendations and supporting guidelines are available

from VITA on www.vita-zahnfabrik.com/vm-working-instructions

NobelProcera™ Zirconia

NobelProcera™ Zirconia

Indications:

– Single and multiple implants.

– Conventional abutment(s) whereby a crown or bridge is

cemented on top.

– Screw retained crown (porcelain veneered directly onto

abutment).

Contraindications:

– Zirconia abutments for NobelActive are not indicated

for posterior use.

Indications:

– Cement retained solution.

– Tooth- and implant-supported restorations.

– NobelProcera Crown Zirconia, 0.4 mm, is indicated for use

in the esthetic region, premolar to premolar.

– 0.7mm for all locations in the mouth.

Indications:

– Cement retained solution.

– All positions in the mouth.

– Tooth- and implant-supported restorations.

– Bridge spans of 2–14 units, designed to fi t into a disc,

60 mm in diameter and 20 mm in height.

– The connector dimension of a multiple-unit framework

depends on the distance between the supporting teeth (see

table below). The design is supported by real time feedback

through warning function in the NobelProcera Software.

Contraindications:

– Cases where the anterior/posterior cantilevers have a length

of more than one unit.

– Bruxism.

NobelProcera™ Implant Bridge Zirconia

NobelProcera™ – guaranteed and certifi ed quality

Indications:

– Screw-retained solution.

– Multiple implants.

– Implant level (multi-unit abutment level to be launched in 2010).

– All positions in the mouth.

– A bridge, designed to fi t into a disc, 60 mm in diameter and 20 mm

in height.

– Requires a minimum of 4 × 2.5 mm connector between units

(height × width) and a minimum cross-sectional area of 8 mm2.

Contraindications:

– Cases where the mesial/distal cantilevers have a length of more

than one unit.

– There should be no more than two pontics between the

supporting implants.

– Bruxism.

Note: When restoring NobelActive Implants using a NobelProcera

Implant Bridge, Healing Abutment Bridge NobelActive should be used.
