May 2015.

Mohyal Mela: The House put on record the grand success of the Mohyal Milan Mela held on 5

April 2015 and greatly appreci- ated the efforts put in by all the members, specially the youth. lt was indeed a very grand show which will be remembered for times to come. The detailed re- port has already been published in Mohyal Mitter of May 2015. The House requested the Mela committee to put up the accounts of the Mela in the next meeting of the Sabha which will be held on 5 July 2015. Traditionally the Sabha does not meet in June due to hot climatic conditions.

Appreciation Letter: The Sabha has received, a letter of appreciation from the Chief Guest Lt Gen B K N Chhibber, PVSM, AVSM, VSM, former Governor of Punjab and Administrator Chandigarh dated 11 May 2015 which says.

I take this opportunity to, though a little belatedly, thank you and the members of Mohyal Sabha Gurgaon for inviting me for your annual Mela celebrations on 5th

April 201 5 as Chief Guest. lt was indeed a very kind and thoughiful gesture which I gratefully acknowledge.

I must put on record that I en- joyed every moment of the func- tion. Our Mohyal Brothers and sisters gathered there not only from Gurgaon, Delhi, Noida but from various places in UP, Haryana, Punjab and so on. lt was indeed a very large gather- ing of our community, at a local Sabha function, that I have ever seen. Besides the large number of people gathered, there were some very good aspects of con- duct which I felt goes a long way to reflect on the strides being made by the community and re- iterate a few important aspects:

(a) Firstly the function was very well organized in a very suitable place befitting the community and the occasion.

(b) lt started well on time and ev- eryone ensured to be on time.

(c) The seating, stage, sound system were all well organized and would do credit to any orga- nization.

(d) The programme was well set and nicely conducted.

(e) There were no noisy interrup- tions or hold up.

(f) The general standard of the participants and their conduct were exemplary. This itself re- flects on development and ma- turity of the community.

(g) I was very happy to see the kind of love and affection ex- tended to Col Bali ji, one of the oldest living Mohyal and a per- son who has devoted his life to the service of the community.

(h) The food was simple, well cooked and elegantly served. Naturally it was relished by all in a very happy and smooth envi- ro n m e nt.

(i) Above everything else, the whole atmosphere was very friendly and healthy. To that end

I must say MELA fulfilled all its aims.

Once again, I would like to em- phasize that it was a very good function that would persist in memoryfora longtime. All of you Mohyals of Gurgaon deserve heartfelt complements and thanks for the same With best wishes. Lt Gen B K N Chhibber

The House conveyed its Best wishes to all members of the Sabha who have their birthdays in the month of May and June 2015 The meeting ended with Shanti Path, followed by ref re h me nts.

Food for Thought: (a) In Unity there is strength-United we stand, Divided we fall.

Inspiring MohyalYouth ForSports The human in general and the youth in particular possesses immense energy. In principle the energy needs to be channelized because the idle energy is detrimental not only to own health but also to the Society & Nation. Confining myself to MohyalYouth, it is an imperative duty ofall of usto inspire ouryouth to develop interestin sports. Factually the youth & sports are synonymic.Needless to emphasize, advantages of participating in sports are many.

- Keeps body fit, active & healthy. - Develops spirit to work in a team - increases degree of tolerance - brings home friendship, fraternity & equality - eliminates destructive thoughts -gainfulto Society, State & Nation - develops immunity againstdisease - gives us a smart bearing

Although, it may not be possible to organize all games because ofvariety of reasons, games like Cricket, Football, Badminton, Table Tennis, Kho-Kho, Volleyball etc can be arranged easily by Mohyal Sabhas. After inter-Mohyal Sabhas, the sports can be organized atstate-level of course underthe patronage ofGMS. Mohyal Sabha Khanna has already published its offertojoin it in a friendly cricket match eitheratKhanna oroutside. Likewise other Sabhas may also come forward & invite others. Usually, it is always emphasized in every meeting to bring forward & involve the youth. This waythe youth willgetattracted. Itwill also operate as a better option to involve them in main stream.

Let us agree unitedlyto launch a campaign in every Mohyal Sabha to inculcate amongst Mohyal Youth the habit of participating in sports and contribute largely to build an unequivocal and a harbinger Mohyal Society by constructively utilizing the prepotency ofourYouth.

Why Not a Girl People pray for a boy, Not for a

girl. They want a man, Not a

woman. But in need of education , they go to goddess "Saraswati". In need of Money, they go to goddess "Laxmi". In need of Courage, they go to goddess "Durga". Why do they hesitate to have a Devi in the family?
