WCOCounciladoptedtheSAFEFrameworkofStandardstoSecureandFacilitateGlobalTrade(SAFEFramework)thatwouldactasadeterrenttointernationalterrorism,securerevenuecollectionsandpromotetradefacilitationworldwide.

Key Principles of AEO :

a) Voluntary Programmeb) Built on Trust c) Based on risk management d) Develops and fosters a compliance culture e) AEO provides a new control – move from transaction to system control.
