Vocational ministries address the full range of support for the clergy from the beginning stages of discernment to retirement. These ministries offer education and forma-tion of men for the priesthood and permanent diaconate as well as provide direct sacramental and pastoral care, spiritual direction, and fraternal support as they carry out their ministries. They also nurture the most basic core unit of Christian life by caring for human and spiri-tual needs of family members to strengthen the bonds of marriage and family life.
