POSITION STATEMENT Responsibilities Responsible to the Multiple District Council to deliver the following responsibilities. Champion the development of good quality, service projects by clubs within MD201. Lead and guide service chairperson’s appointed by Council including the: o Diabetes Chairperson o Environment Chairperson Support activities to highlight service initiatives that are adopted by Council from time to time. Duties The following duties are promoted by Lions Clubs International as goals for the Multiple District Service Coordinator. Ensure all districts in the multiple district appoint a GST coordinator. Ensure all District GST Coordinators as well as District Governors in your multiple district are aware of the new LCI Service Framework and our global cause of diabetes prevention and control. Provide District GST Coordinators with information and resources to encourage and increase club level service activity reporting through MyLCI. Provide District GST Coordinators with information and resources to encourage and increase the percentage of hands on service projects delivered by clubs, with special focus on service areas that align with the Centennial Service Challenge and the new Service Framework. Encourage all District GST Coordinators to promote club level diabetes project implementation.     The following duties are required by Council:

    • To advice Council on developments in Service goals from Lions Clubs International.

    • To contribute to the Multiple District Global Action Team

    • To manage the financial and accountability requirements for the service chairpersons appointed by Council, including contributing to the preparation of the budget.

    • To work closely with the Executive Officer to deliver Council’s Strategic Goals.

    • To attend meetings of the Management Group, Council, Convention as required by Council.

    • To submit a report to each meeting of Council and an annual report on all relevant projects for inclusion in the MD201 Convention Reports.

    • To attend District conventions, when invited, to promote and inform on current developments.

    Structure

    With respect to responsibilities under the control of the Multiple District, the Global Service Team National Coordinator is supervised by the Executive Officer and is a member of the Multiple District Management Group.

    Attendance

    The National Coordinator is required to attend the following meetings and events.

    • National Convention

    • Meetings of the Multiple District Management Group

    • Council meetings, including all Standing Committees

    • Travel and accommodation expenses for approved meetings are covered by the Multiple District with the General Rules of Reimbursement.
