General Camp Information
Global Pioneer Academy’s summer camp is a day camp for children
ages 2+. Our camps are STEM and educational based and led by
trained teachers. GPA summer camps follow a weekly themed cur-
riculum designed to engage campers in educational learning that is
rooted in fun—the basis of summer! In addition to weekly themes,
campers participate in daily and weekly core activities that include
daily reading, mandarin lessons, outdoor fun, STEM activities, soc-
cer, karate and music. All activities are specifically tailored for each
age group so that they are learning age appropriate skills and chal-
lenged.
REGISTRATION
Registration is easy. You can register online at
www.globalpioneeracademy.org and clicking on “summer camps.” or
in person at our offices.
COMMITMENT & FEES
GPA offers flexible summer camp. We ask that you make a minimum
2 week commitment (though weeks do not need to be adjacent). Full
week camp tuition is $325 + $125 registration fee. Partial week (3
days a week) camp is $195. Sibling, friends & family discounts are
offered.
Daily & Weekly Core Activities
Global Pioneer Academy’s summer camps are supported by daily and weekly activities
that promote summer learning, mandarin inclusion, reading and STEM (science, technol-
ogy, engineering and mathematics).
Reading
All campers participate in daily, age-appropriate reading activities. For younger readers,
they work with teachers on reading skills and group storytelling. Older campers spend a
minimum of 30 minutes reading daily during quiet time.
STEM Exploration
All campers explore STEM daily in small groups and participate in weekly themes where
they dive into deeper exploration of science, technology, engineering and math. All activ-
ities are designed for age level appropriateness and skill level.
Soccer, Karate, Music
Each week, campers participate in soccer, karate and music lessons led by professionals
in the field. Lessons are age-appropriate and we always provide photos!
Mandarin Lessons
Campers have daily Mandarin lessons and learn age-level appropriate Mandarin speak-
ing skills. From learning to count and their colors, to singing songs and learning to read.
Campers are challenged to grow their Mandarin skills through immersion learning.
Healthy Kids & Healthy Lunch
All lunches are included in camper fees and made in our facility
daily. They are always homemade and healthy….because we
believe healthy food fuels healthy kids.
Weekly Themes & Sample Activities
Global Pioneer Academy’s summer camps are designed with weekly themes in mind.
Each week we present a new theme to campers and take them on an adventure with daily activities that are interactive and exploratory. All activities are tailored to the
age of the campers and are designed to be fun—because what is summer if its not fun!
(and a little messy!)
Week one is a shot week for us—and we’re kicking off summer camp doing all the
things summer was invented for: outdoor fun, drive-in-movies and arts & crafts!
Decorate your camp t-shirt! Each camper receives
a camp t-shirt to decorate and show off their creativity
this summer! Campers are encouraged to express
themselves and have fun!
Week 1:
Summer Sampler
Indoor drive in! What’s
summer if you’re not
enjoying a movie with
friends? Campers will enjoy an
indoor drive in movie (age appro-
priate!) with friends and popcorn!
Water FUN! Get wet. Splash. Run. Jump. Campers get to
dive into water fun on Friday (after Karate, of course!)
Click. Snap. Share. Create memories. This week, kids of all ages learn about taking
photos, creating art with their photos and be-
come “in-house” photography pros, creating
images we’ll share with you—our parents!
With the help of a professional photographer,
we’ve created a week of activities that will in-
spire your camper!
Your camper will :
Learn the basics of digital pho-
tography and light.
Create life-size art using their
photos—and create a campus
gallery for parents and visitors!
Go on a nature scavenger hunt
and be challenged to identify
and photograph icky, weird and
interesting things in nature.
(eek, spiders!)
Take underwater photos.
Capture memories from
camp for an online digital
memory book for parents.
Week 2:
Digital Photography
Science is fun. It’s cool. It’s critical to our kids ability and learn about the world. Its also really silly. This week, campers will explore science with hands-on ac-
tivities and exploration designed to inspire and foster your child’s natural curiosity about
the world we live. We can’t promise that we won’t send them home in the same clothes
they came in….hey, science can sometimes be messy!
Your camper will :
Explore life cycles and
create their own sprout-
house to care for all
summer long.
Celebrate Independ-
ence Day by creating
their own fireworks show—in a jar!
Learn how to walk on eggs.
(yes, really!)
Week 3:
STEM Week-Mad Science
This week is short as we’ll be
closed to celebrate the 4th of
July with our families!
We’re a community of international educators and we believe that its critical to learn about other cultures. Well spend a week with campers from all
different nationalities learning about different food, dances, art and games from around
the world. Students will get to ask questions, try new things and grow their cultural
competency.

Try new foods from around the world.
Learn dance moves from other coun-
tries. Salsa anyone?
Play games from
other countries with
their friends.
Learn instruments
from different countries and share
their knowledge with you!
Week 4:
Around the World! Cultural Exploration
Technology is moving faster than we can keep
up somedays and kids are learning earlier than
ever how to use it to learn, explore and create.
Many camps are technology free. We be-lieve its important to inspire a love of technology early. This week, students will explore technolo-
gy that is age appropriate and learn to be
inquisitive thinkers, creators and users of
technology. They’ll have the advantage
when they head back to school in the fall!
Your camper will :
Build their own
wigglebot robot!
Create their own air-powered car
Explore coding and how it can
become artwork.

phone free environment. Your campers won’t be
on their phones or in front of a computer all day!
Kids like to eat. We like to eat. And we love to cook. In fact, we love it so much that
we’re committed to healthy homemade snacks and lunches for our campers every day.
We also want our campers to learn how to create healthy snacks for themselves. This week campers will explore cooking safety, learn how to follow
recipes and create healthy snacks both indoors and out. By the time they’re done,
they’ll be ready for Master Chef Junior!
Your camper will :
Decorate
Week 6:

100% nut free!
Engineering is a little hard to wrap your head around, right? We think its one of the
more challenging STEM areas and we’re committed to getting campers excited about it! This week campers will explore what engineering is, learn
to build, create and explore the field while having a lot of fun. And perhaps even mak-
ing a few messes along the way!

them.

roads for games with their

and fun!
