Tundra FactsWHAT - The coldest of all biomes – Tundra. Tundra is originated

from the Finnish word tunturi, meaning – treeless plain.It has landscapes that are molded by frost, and doesn’t have a high biotic diversity. Tundra is mostly ice and snow.

WHEN - The growing season lasts approximately 180 days, in the Arctic region.

WHERE - Tundra regions are located around The North Pole and the Arctic Circle.

HOW - Nitrogen is created by biological fixation, and phosphorus is created by precipitation.

WHY – Tundra is endangered because the ice cold climates don’t allow breeding.

Wetlands World Map

Wetlands Facts WHAT - Are many complex waterways, in all shapes and

sizes, and are temporarily covered in water. Including that the water can be 6m deep.

WHEN - They were formed by the Ice Age about 10,000 years ago.

WHERE - Wetlands are located around North & South America, South Africa and Asia.

HOW – They are formed by the glaciers that melted thousands of years ago creating floods.

WHY – The wetlands keep river levels regular and filters the water while purifying the surface water.

Mountain Facts WHAT – A large amount of land that rises to high peaks in

the sky.

WHEN – Mountains first formed millions of years ago.

WHERE – Mountains are found all over the world and the tallest mountain is Mt Everest peaking at 8,8484m ( 29,029 ft)

HOW – Mountains have formed from dirt and soil piling up together to make larger land formations.

WHY – They are so big because, the Earth cant stop the from growing, so they are constantly growing
