Our rise through the years
GBS’ legacy stretches back as far as Tweedy of Burnley Ltd. - at that time a major worldwide supplier of bakery equipment in its own right. Significant and successful advances were made during the subsequent Turkington era, developing the vast majority of automated process lines seen in most large industrial bread and bun production plants, worldwide, today.
Formed in 2012, Global Bakery Solutions holds the intellectual property rights to the entire Turkington Europe Ltd. range of products, allowing it to continue legitimately manufacturing and selling equipment bearing one of the industry’s most respected names.
GBS, enjoying the considerable expertise inherited by retaining its forerunner’s key managerial staff, aims to continue supplying the worldwide baking industry with robust, environmentally friendly, state-of-the-art equipment backed by unrivalled packages of aftermarket and asset care support.
