Hour of Code

Glenview students joined schools around the world participating in the annual Hour of Code. Over 10 million students in 180 different countries take part in the Hour of Code. The goal of The Hour of Code is to give every student the opportunity to learn about computer science. The Hour of Code allows students to create programs, games, and apps that we use on a daily basis. Students complete one hour of tutorials based on skill level, grade level, topic, and interest.   Some of the tutorials selected are as follows: Minecraft, Star Wars, Moana, The Amazing World of Gumball, Animate Your Name with Scratch, Star Wars (Java Style), and Robots and Java.    Through the Hour of Code, approximately 750 Glenview students participated in more than just technology. The students used skills such as logic, problem solving, and creativity.
