Subject:      Letter of Recommendation Orkin Pest Control

To whom it may concern,

I would like to provide an overview of my professional experience with Orkin Pest Control, and especially with Adam Boutelle.

Since late November 2013 I’ve had the pleasure of working with Adam on numerous pest control issues here at District 41, namely bed bug control at Hadley Junior High School. In late October the district discovered a single bed bug on a student at the J.R..High. As you can imagine word spread quickly and we found ourselves dealing with a great deal of media attention.

At the time we were serviced by Anderson Pest Control. This company was not responsive to our needs, and did not appear to have the urgency to treat this problem as we expected. I was directed to find another company that was familiar with the bed bug issues. I reached out to my fellow Directors of Buildings & Grounds, and they revealed that an overwhelming number of districts used Orkin as their pest control service. I contacted Orkin immediately, Adam was in my office within an hour of my call to Orkin with his service manager presenting a proposal to inspect, and eliminate the bed bugs.

Orkin presented a plan that was through, they did not miss any details; they are responsive, and conservative with their approach to chemicals in the school environment. Orkin inspected the site with Riley (Labrador Retriever, trained bed bug dog) and his handler Mike. Mike/Riley walked the building, and inspected every room, nook and cranny of the building. As a matter of fact Orkin had several people inspecting our building looking for bed bugs. Adam was a big part of the successful treatment and eradication of the insects. Riley was amazing and had a few hits in a centralized area of our building. The areas were “heat treated”, and minimal chemicals were used throughout the school. All this work was completed over the weekend and school was not disrupted.

After the successful treatment we decided to contract all of our pest control services to Orkin. I have been very impressed with the routine monthly inspection of our facilities. The technician checks every mouse trap, glue board each and every visit. These traps have digital id’s which are electronically recorded as proof everything was inspected during that visit. Orkin guarantees their work, and will come back if necessary without any delays. I have been very impressed, and would highly recommend Orkin for any of your pest control needs.

Adam’s insight for pest control is overwhelming, as well as knowing the desires of the community he works for helped curtail the bed bug issue making the experience a huge success community wide. Orkin’s (Adam’s) attention to details were outstanding. Adam’s dedication to the project helped to create spaces that were bug free, and with the monthly dog inspections we have the issue under control . As a final note, I found Adam to be very professional and responsive during the process. He was personally available when necessary, and prompt in his responses to e-mail, or telephone inquiries. 

I would highly recommend Adam Boutelle and his organization Orkin Commercial Services for any pest control services.
