Control Theory
Definition◦The choice theory states that
behaviour is inspired by what a person wants or needs most at any given time.
◦Choice Theory is internal motivation as driver of student achievement

Principles of Control TheoryStudent’s behaviour is determined
by student’s choice not teacher’s control

Definition:
Reality therapy is a series of steps to help pupils in understanding the choices that they make
Behaviour is a matter of choice. Good behaviour results from good choices and bad behaviour results from bad choices.

Show patience and support
Stay away from criticizing

Identify their inappropriate behaviour
