The trailer begins with a sepia like universal sign

which suggests that the film is differentcompared to the usually made by this studio

giant. Also it may highlight the surroundings

considering the fact that the film is set mainly

around a desert like location.

This theme continues to another studio

Dream Works this may confuse the view

to why it has been done an from the off

questions are being asked about the film.

During this shot the music is very powerful in

comparison to the visual aspect ct of thetrailer as Maximums is being given power

one the ruler dies. This is important as you

know from the music that something is going

to happen thanks to the music.

There is the a cut to the likely villain as he is

deemed unmoral and no longer in line for theposition of power. The trailer now has like set the

foundation of the film as we know there is a

villain and a hero but what will they fight for?

There is the cuts to a black

background when the ruler is telling

the villain he will not take power.

The black creates a sense of suspension as

the audience would like to know what

happens next.

There is then a shot of devastation on the

villains face, the trailer allows us to now

think will he be after revenge or accept it

gracefully.

The clip then leads to the ruler in pain it is introduced

by this loud drumming which is used after every black

screen shot this once again creates questions for theaudience as they merely see the ruler in pain and do

not know how he got in that state, encouraging them

to watch the film and find out.

The shot off the old mans eyes can be symbol that the

future is being written through his eyes, this newemperor and he is afraid. The tension is even more

enhanced through the use of the non-diegetic sound

and is alike a heartbeat which may symbolize the death

of the leader.

The film is beginning to unfold as the audience

may suspect that now with this amount of power

this emperor will bring is corruption and

destruction to Rome. This shot may suggest that

he is not as evil as suspected as some of his face is

in the light.

The over the shoulder shot shows the expression of

assigned leaders face this is important as it explains

his own shock and sorrow.

The medium shot of these three characters may

be to suggest allot of things as all three

characters are shown in this part of the trailer

may imply that the whole is actually based

around them.

The close up of the men parting ways

sets up the base line of the movie, is itthat the man now seeks revenge? This

alone will interest a large amount of

people as their thoughts maybe that

there will be action and drama.

This part is where the confusion of the

trailer begins as now it seems that the

film may just be over. The medium shot

helps to show the costumes of the men

which also can appeal to a certain

demographic.

The trailer starts to give away

more of the film than intended as

the audience may believe that this

suggest that the film is over.

The music begins to catch pace

once the man survives and this

suggest that he is now free. The

image also suggests this as it

seems that choices are endless

he can go wherever.

All now seems to be lost as he falls to

the ground the music is then at a stand

still alike the characters life as he no

longer knows what he is going to do.

thanks to its recreation of such an era.

Furthermore this part of the trailer

shows him still to have control although

he is a slave.

Although the movie is mainly battles

and violence the use of romanceopens doors for another type of

audience, reason for it being placed in

the trailer.
