Due to its size, weight and waterproof casing the Pacific can be used for any mobile asset that needs protection. The Pacific uses proprietary Oysta protocols. It will only operate in conjunction with the Oysta service. You can use the Oysta service via the ‘out of the box’ web solution or through an API. The Pacific primarily transmits its location information to the Oysta service using GPRS but can fall back on text messaging when in areas of poor GPRS coverage. As the Pacific is a GSM quad band device, it will operate in most parts of the world. Key features Fixed Time Reporting Set service start/end time and tracking interval (cycles) and the Pacific automatically reports its position to the Oysta platform. Geo-fencing The possibility to create and modify 5 Safety Zones (both in- and out zone alerts). Location by cell If you call the Pacific it automatically ends the call and reports its position to the Oysta platform. Speed Sensor Sends out alert information when activated and speed threshold is met. Non-movement sensor If the Pacific stays in one place without moving, fixed time reporting is automatically disabled to reduce the use of GPRS or text messages and to extend battery life. Power Status Sends out alert information when the Pacific is switched on or off and when the battery power is low or charging. Park and Track Your Pacific will automatically create a safety zone at the current location when the function key is pressed. When movement is detected (based on settings), you will receive an alert.
