Using effective curriculum, we help teachers, who themselves generally only have 10-12 years education, to effectively teach children with a variety of tools.

We have been workingWith Global Dental Relief to

Provide dental care to 1,000s ofNepalese children

Page 38: Giving asha 2009 2010-edited2

This summer we lost an important member of the Global Dental Relief

team.

Dr. Tom Grams was one of ten aideWorkers slain in Afghanistan

Page 39: Giving asha 2009 2010-edited2

Tom was our children’s gentle

first touch conducting exams and administering

Novocain

Page 40: Giving asha 2009 2010-edited2

Tom was wonderful with the children, humming to them to calm them.

Page 41: Giving asha 2009 2010-edited2

His presence had a calming effect on all

of us

Page 42: Giving asha 2009 2010-edited2

We will miss Tom’s compassion and dedication

Page 43: Giving asha 2009 2010-edited2

Dental camps will never be the same without Tom, but we are happy to be able to continue doing the work he

loved so much.
