1. Principle Prevention of Tropical Diseases for TravelerTraveling is one of the greatest experiences you can do. However, there are

many pitfalls you can get yourself into. Sometimes the simplest problem can turn

an otherwise wonderful trip into a disaster. Thats why its important to

understand common travel problems. If you know how to handle these simple

problems, youll be ready for just about anything.One of that problem is about

travel medicine. With the decreasing of boundaries and the increasing of

activities, traveling becomes one of global lifestyle. Due to this phenomenon,

medical problems related-travel is rapidly increase and need a serious concern on

it, especially about tropical diseases. There are many kinds of infectious disease

that could be harm for us. But, we don t need to worry. For dealing with tropical diseases,

we need to improve our knowledge about that, and that will be introduced to you in a

simple and fun lecture and workshops. As a introductary we will give you lecture

about principle prevention of tropical disease which is very important to know!

2. Prophylaxis for Viral InfectionIn tropical country such as Indonesia, viral infection is such a common disease.

Moreover when we doing some trips that is outdoor activity we can easily bite by

mosquitos that maybe cause fever. Or the common viral infection is Influenza.

Ouch! Thats so annoying! Our happy trip can turn into unpleasant one. But dont

worry in order to deal with those virus infection, we will give you lectures about

viral infection such as Dengue, Influenza and also Hepatitis.

3. Prophylaxis for Bacterial and Parasitic InfectionTraveling can be done in various ways, one of them is by backpacking. But

backpacking has high risk for the traveler get bacterial and parasitic infection. For

example Salmonelosis. We surely dont want our trip is disturbing by this sahbby

thing. Wa cant enjoy the trip if you go to the toilet every 5 minutes rite? So in

this summer lecture we will give you useful information to deal with it. And also

about parasitic infection, some regions in tropical country including Indonesia is

endemic for malaria infection. But that endemic place, such as Papua has a very

beautiful and breathtaking scenery that you shouldnt miss. So for the win-win

solution, prophylaxis for malaria infection is very nice to know!

4. Endemic Disease in Bali: Rabies How to Manage and Prevent thisInfection

Bali is a region which is well known with kintamani Dog. Awww they are such a

beautiful ceatures. But Bali also has the highest incidence of zoonosis infection,

that is Rabies. Rabies is a disease caused by Rabies virus that transmitted by

dogs, monkeys, or wolves. As a region which is endemic for this rabies infection,

traveler who trip to this wonderful island should know a little bit about this viral

infection such as: What should you do next after get bite? Is there any

vaccination to prevent it? Can it be cured? What are the characteristics of animal

with rabies virus? All of the questions about zoonosis, especially rabies will be

answered in our lecture and workshop. So, don't miss it!
