    YoumaymakeacontributiontoGive2Asiatofundanimmediategrantactivityorprogram,to

    establish a Donor Advised Fund or Endowed Fund, or to make a gift to an existing fund.

    Contributionsmaybemadeby individuals, families,corporations, foundations,donor advisedfunds, or from other vehicles such as charitable trusts. All contributions are subject to

    Give2AsiasContributionsPolicies,whicharedetailedinthissection.

    I.GIVE2ASIAGIFTFORM

    TheGive2AsiaGiftForminitiatesyourpersonalizedgrantmakingactivities.UsetheGiftFormto

    transmityourdonationandrecommendtheorganization,programorfundyouwishtosupport.

    The form, available atwww.give2asia.org/family-resources,asks for basic donor information;

    thetype,amountandpurposeofthegift;acknowledgementandidentificationpreferences;and

    adescriptionofthedonatedassets.

    Gifts for grantmaking activities require that the donor complete a Gift Form. Grantmaking

    activities include fundinganAdvisedGrantoraCustomProgram,making a contribution toa

    Give2Asia FundorsupportingGive2Asiasmissionandwork. Inaddition, the form isused to

    initiateaDueDiligence Review inorder toqualify a charitableorganization inAsia asanew

    Give2Asiagrantrecipient.

    II.CONTRIBUTIONPOLICIES*

    ThefollowingpoliciesgovernallgiftstoGive2Asia.

    1. Approval of Contributions: The Give2Asia Board of Trustees reviews all contributions.Give2Asia reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to decline an offered contribution.

    Contributions not acceptedwill be returned to the donorwithout interest as soon as is

    practicable.

    2. Donor Eligibility: Individuals, corporations, private foundations, community foundations,donoradvisedfunds,trusts,andestatesmaymakecontributionstoGive2Asia.TheBoardof

    Give2Asia reviews contributions and reserves the righttodecline the contribution ofany

    donoratitssolediscretion.

    3. ContributionsAreIrrevocableandUnconditional:OnceGive2Asiaacceptsacontribution,itisirrevocableandunconditional.It isnot refundable tothedonorforany reasonand theassets are owned and held by Give2Asia. The donor may not impose any restriction or

    conditionsoncontributionsthatpreventGive2Asiafromfreelyandeffectivelyusingthegift

    infurtheringitsmissiontosupportcharitableactivitiesinAsia.

    4. ContributionsMayNotFulfillaPledgetotheRecommendedCharity:Grantsrecommendedbydonors,ifdistributed,maynotfulfillapre-existingpledgetotherecommendedcharity.

    5. ContributionsMayNotConferAnyPrivateBenefit:Adonationmaynotresultinthedonor,oranyofthedonorsfamilyorconstituents,receivingprivatebenefitfromagift,suchasany

    goods,servicesorprofitfromthecharitableorganizationreceivingagrant.

    6. Contributions May Not Be Used as a Bribe or Kickback: Donations and grantrecommendationsmaynotbeauthorized,promised,orofferedinconnectionwithanybribe

    orkickback,orinviolationoftheU.S.ForeignCorruptPracticesActof1977,asamended,or

    theanti-corruptionlawsofanycountry.

    7. TypesofAcceptedAssets:Give2Asiaacceptsthefollowingtypesofassets:

    Cash:Cashcontributionsmustbedeliveredbycheck,creditcard,directtransferfromabrokerageaccount,electronicfundstransferorwire.

    Publicly Traded Securities: Give2Asia will accept most publicly traded securities,includingstocks,mostmutualfundshares,andbonds.Priortomakingacontribution

    ofpubliclytradedsecuritiestoGive2Asia,pleasecompleteandsigntheGive2AsiaGift

    Form,availableatwww.give2asia.org/family-resources.

    Restricted Stock: Restricted stock may be accepted by Give2Asia subject to themarketabilityofthesecuritiesandtheapprovaloftheissuerconcerningthesaleof

    suchsecurities.In the eventthat suchapprovalis denied,orin the eventthat the

    securities cannot be sold for any reason within a reasonable time period, as

    determinedbyGive2Asia,thecontributionwillnotbeacceptedandthesecuritieswill

    bereturnedtothedonor.

    Online Credit Card Donations: Contributionsmay bemade to anexisting fund bycreditcard(Visa,MasterCardorAmericanExpress)throughtheGive2Asiawebsite.To

    makeadonationonlinegotowww.give2asia.org/fundsandselectthefundofyour

    choice. There is a processing fee charged by the credit card companies

    (approximately3percent)thatreducestheamountoftheactualgiftcreditedtothe

    account.

    OtherAssets:Give2Asia does not typically accept in-kind donations. Under specialcircumstances,Give2Asiamayconsiderdonationsofassets,suchasrealestate,other

    thanthosedescribedabove.

    8. Effective Date of Donation: The effective date of a charitable gift can be particularlysignificantwhencontributionsaremadeclosetoyear-end.Itisthedonorsresponsibilityto

    ensurethatcontributionsaremadewithinthetaxyeardesired.

    deliveryofthecheck.InthecaseofadeliverybyUSmail,thecontributioniseffective

    onthedateitispostmarked.CheckscomingfromoutsidetheUnitedStatesshould

    besentbyanovernightexpressdeliveryservicesothatthegiftcanbetracked.

    CreditCard:Contributionsmadebycreditcardareeffectiveonthedatethechargeismade.

    DirectTransfersfromBrokerageAccountsandWireTransfers:Contributionsmadebydirect and wire transfer are effective on the date the funds are received in

    Give2Asiasaccount.

    Marketable Securities: Theeffectivedateof contributionsofmarketable securitiesdependsonwhethersuchsecuritiesareheldincertificatedoruncertificatedform.

    o Certificated Securities: The contribution is effective when the donor makesunconditionaldeliveryofproperlyendorsedcertificatestoGive2Asia.Inthecase

    ofacontributionbyUSmail,theeffectivedateisthedateonwhichthesecurities

    arepostmarked.Itisrecommendedthatsecuritiesbesentbyovernightexpress

    deliveryservice.o Uncertificated Securities: Contributions of securities held in street name are

    effectiveonthedatethetransferisirrevocablycreditedtoGive2Asiasaccount.A

    donors instruction to his or her broker to make a transfer of uncertificated

    securitiestoGive2Asiadoesnotmakethecontributioneffectivefortaxpurposes.

    o RestrictedStock:Contributionsofrestrictedstockaregenerallysubjecttoissuerapproval. Gifts of such restricted securities will be considered complete only

    whenissuerapprovalisreceived.

    9. ValuationandReceipting:Give2Asiawillprovideawrittenconfirmationofeachacceptedcontributionwithanacknowledgmentoftheamountofacashcontributionand,inthecase

    ofsecuritiesorothernon-cashassets,adescriptionofthecontributedassets.Give2Asia

    doesnotvaluesecuritiesorothernon-cashcontributions.UStaxlawsplacethe

    responsibilityonthedonortodeterminethevalueofcontributednon-cashassetsor

    propertyfortaxpurposes.Allcontributionswillreceiveanacknowledgementletterthat

    servesasareceiptfortaxpurposes.

    10.LiquidationofNon-Cash Contributions: Give2Asia doesnot holdmarketable securitiesorother non-cash contributedassets, and will sell such assets immediately upon receipt. A

    confirmationletterwillbesentafteranon-cashcontributionhasbeenreceived,accepted,

    andliquidated.Theamountof thecontributionavailablefor grantingmay differ fromthe

    amount of the donors tax-deductible contribution because of differences in the timingbetweeneffectivereceiptandliquidation.

    11.USTaxDeductibility:BecauseGive2AsiaisaUS501(c)3publiccharity(Federalidentificationnumber #94-3373670), donors receive the maximum tax deductibility benefit on

    contributions.IndividualdonorsareeligibleforanitemizedUSfederaltaxdeductionforcash

    contributionsofupto50percentofadjustedgrossincome(AGI)inthetaxyearinwhichthe

    contributionismade.Deductionsforcontributionsofappreciatedsecuritiesheldformore

    thanoneyeararelimitedto30percentofAGI.Excessamountsmaybecarriedforwardand

    deductedovera five-year period following the yearofthe contribution.State income tax

    deductions for charitable gifts are not necessarily the same as federal income tax

    deductions. Please contact your tax advisor in advance of a gift to determine themostadvantageouswaytostructureyourcontributionsandassessyouractualUSandstatetax

    deductibilitylimits.

    12.PlannedGiving:Give2Asiacanbethebeneficiaryofyourwill,orabeneficiaryofacharitableremaindertrustorcharitableleadtrust,IRAassets,insurancepoliciesorotherassets.Please

    contactGive2Asiastafftodiscussyourparticularneeds.

    III.EXAMPLESOFPOSSIBLETAXSAVINGS

    Mr.Goodman,whoisinthe35percenttaxbracket,donates$10,000incashforanadvised

    grantand receives an income tax deduction of $10,000which results in a tax savings of

    $3,500;thereforetheactualcostofhisgiftis$6,500.

    Ms.Leepurchasedstockinanewcompanyfiveyearsagofor$10,000anditisnowworth$50,000. She decides todonate the stock, rather than cash, toGive2Asia to support her

    charitablegivinginAsia.Bydonatingstock,sheavoidspaying15percentcapitalgainstaxes

    andcandeductthefull$50,000valueofthestockasacharitablecontribution.Ms.Lee,who

    isinthe35percenttaxbracket,willrealizetaxsavingsof$17,500onthe$50,000charitable

    gift.Wereshetoliquidatethesharesherselfanddonatetheproceeds,shewouldhaveto

    pay $6,000 in capital gains tax whichwould reduce the amount ofher charitable gift to

    $44,000anddecreasetheamountofhertaxsavingsby$2,100.

    3. GrantEligibility:Ingeneral,thefollowingtypesoforganizationsandactivitiesareeligible:

    Qualified charitable organizations in Asia that are properly registered andadministeredincompliancewiththelawsofthecountryinwhichtheyoperate.

    WhileGive2AsiaprimarilygrantstoorganizationsbasedinAsia,nonprofitsoperatingprogramsbenefitingAsiathatarenotbasedinAsiawillbeconsideredonacase-by-

    casebasis.

    Specificprogramswithadefinedcharitablepurposeconductedbygovernmentalorfor-profitentities.Unrestrictedgrantsto governmentalor for-profitentitiesarenot

    permitted.

    Charitable activities of religious organizations. However, activities that involveproselytizing are not eligible. Please see further information at

    www.give2asia.org/family-resources.

    4. Grant Limitations and Restrictions: In general, Give2Asia will not approve a grant

    recommendationthat:

    Providesaprivatebenefit, including any goodsorservices, to the donoror familymember;

    Supportslobbying,politicalcampaignsorotherpoliticalactivities; Is used to discharge or satisfy a charitable pledge or obligation that is legally

    enforceableagainstthedonororanyotherpersons;

    Coversprojectcostsincurredbythegranteepriortotheapprovalofthegrant; Pays for goods or services of value received by the donor, their family or their

    constituents;

    Istoaprivatefoundationororganizationcontrolledbythedonor; Istoanindividualorfamily,asopposedtoacharitableorganization; Istobeusedforanypurposethatisnotentirelycharitable; Is to an organization that fails tomeet our standardDue Diligence requirements

    Requirespurchaseofgoodsorservicesprovidedbythedonor.5. Due Diligence: Prior to the approval of any grant, Give2Asia must establish the

    recipients eligibility as a qualified charitable organization and assess its capacity to

    receiveandaccountforgrantfunds.Whenagrantrecommendationismadeforagrant

    recipientnotyetapprovedbyGive2Asia,therecipientisaskedtocompleteaGrantee

    EligibilityApplication,whichisreviewedbystaffintheUSandAsia.Give2Asiaexamines

    each new recipient to assess its charitable purpose and programs, legal status, the

    soundness of its management and governance practices, its financial management

    capacity,anditscompliancewithUSanti-terroristfinancingguidelines.Asitevisitmaybe

    made by in-country staff if required. The due diligence process usually takes 4 to 8

    weeks,buttimingcanvarygreatlybasedontheresponsivenessoftheorganization.

    6. Give2AsiaBoardofTrusteesApproval:Allgrantrecommendationsaresubjecttoreviewand approval by the Give2Asia Board of Trustees prior to disbursement. Give2Asiamaintains a flexible approval structure to expedite the disbursement of grants to

    approvedorganizations.Once anorganization has passed Due Diligence review and a

    grantisreadytobemade,theorganizationandprojectdetailswillbesubmittedtothe

    BoardofTrusteesoritsappointedrepresentativeforapproval.Ifarecommendedcharity

    and project do not qualify, or the grant recommendation is otherwise unacceptable,

    Give2Asiashalldeclinetomakethegrant.Give2Asiawillimmediatelynotifythedonorto

    discuss alternatives or to propose ways in which a suggested grantee may become

    eligible.

    7. GrantAgreementandDisbursement: Followinggrantapproval,Give2Asiaentersintoawrittenagreementwiththegranteethatspellsoutthetermsofthegrant,whichinclude

    thespecificpermittedandprohibitedusesofthegrantfunds,andthestipulationthat

    unusedfundswillbereturnedtoGive2Asia.Thegrantagreementidentifiesthepersonat

    the organization responsible for the implementationofthe grantand detailshow the

    fundswillbetransferred.Thegrantagreementrecognizesthedonororthenameofthe

    donorsGive2AsiaFundunlessthedonorwishestoremainanonymous.Uponexecution

    ofthegrantagreement,thefundsaredisbursedtotheorganization.Give2Asiatransmits

    grants to organizations in Asia primarily by wire transfer. Donors may not act as

    intermediariesinthedeliveryofgrants.

    8. GrantNotificationandTransmission: The donorwill receive email confirmation ofallgrants distributedas a result ofhis orher recommendations.For grantsmade froma

    donorsGive2Asia Fund,disbursements aremadebywithdrawing fundsonapro-rata

    basisfromeachinvestmentpool.

    9. MonitoringandReporting:Give2Asiafieldstaffmonitorsthegranteeduringthegrantperiodtoassurethattheprojectisontargetandmeetingitsgoals.Attheendofthe

    grantperiod,thegranteesubmitsafinalreporttoGive2Asia,whichcontainsanarrative

    of its achievements and a financial report demonstrating that the grant funds were

    expended in accordance with the grant agreement. Give2Asia will notify corporate

    donorsofthecompletionofthegrantprojectandprovideareportbasedonthelevelof

    serviceagreedtobetweenGive2Asiaandthecorporation.

    1. Gift Acceptance and Receipt: Gift acceptance and receipt of funds contributed to aGive2Asia Fund are governed byGive2Asias contribution policies as outlinedwithin this

    UsersGuide.

    2. Minimum Initial ContributionandBalance: There isnominimumcontribution toopenaGive2Asia Fund and no minimum balance required to maintain your fund. There are

    minimumsforgrantdisbursements,asoutlinedinGive2Asiasfeeschedulefoundwithinthis

    UsersGuide.

    3. Additional Contributions: There is no minimum for additional contributions to anestablished Give2Asia Fund. A contribution to an established Give2Asia Fund should be

    accompanied by a completed Gift Form, which is available at

    http://www.give2asia.org/family-resources.

    4. NamingtheFund:Youchoosethenameofthefund.Thefundmaybenamedforyouoryourfamily,ortoestablishabroadcharitablepurpose,e.g.,TheFundfortheEducationofGirls

    inChina.

    5. FundAdvisorsandSuccessors:AGive2AsiaFundmayhaveuptotwonamedfundadvisorswhohaveequalpowers. Fundadvisorsare the parties authorizedbyGive2Asia tomake

    grantrecommendationsfromthefund,aswellastochangeitspreferences.Fundadvisors

    maynameuptotwosuccessorsafterthedeathoftheoriginalfundadvisors.

    Successorsmaybeanyonetheinitialadvisorschoose,suchasaspouse,child,sibling,otherfamilymember,friend,orprofessionaladvisor.Whentwooriginalfundadvisorsarenamed,

    successionapplies only after the deaths ofboth the original fundadvisors. Fundadvisors

    maychoosetonameGive2AsiaoroneormoreAsia-basedcharitableorganizationsasthe

    recommended beneficiary of the fund upon the death of all named fund advisors and

    successors.

    6. GroupAuthorities:IfaGive2AsiaFundisestablishedbyagroupofindividualsorfamily,twopeoplemaybedesignatedasfundadvisorswhohavetheauthoritytorecommendgrants

    fromthatfund.

    7. Reporting: Give2Asia will send a quarterly statement to each fund advisor reporting thecurrentvalueofeachfundsassets.

    8. LimitationsonFund-RelatedExpenditures:Give2AsiapoliciesandUSlawprohibit:

    The payment of compensation, loans, expense reimbursements and similar expensesfromaGive2AsiaFundtothedonor,donoradvisor,oranypersonrelatedtothedonoror

    donoradvisor.

    9. ChangingYourPreferences:Thefundadvisor(s)maychangeanyofthedesignationsofthefund, including fundname,advisors, successors,and financial advisorsbycompleting the

    DonorAdvisedFundChangeRequestForm,whichisavailableatwww.give2asia.org/family-

    resources.

    10.Minimum Fund Activity: To achieve Give2Asias goal of promoting philanthropy to Asia,Give2AsiaBoardofDirectorshassetaminimumtotalannualgrantsdistributionof5percent

    of the aggregate net assets held inGive2Asia Funds. If this overallminimum isnotmet,

    Give2Asiawill contact the fundadvisors torequest that they recommend grants tobring

    their annual distribution up to a minimum of 5 percent. If Give2Asia does not receive

    sufficient grant recommendations from underactive fundswithin 60days, it reserves the

    rightto distribute fundsto supportGive2Asiasservices inorder tobring the totalannualaggregatedisbursementsuptothe5percentminimum.

    11.AbandonmentofFunds: Fundadvisorsareresponsible forkeepingGive2Asia informedofaddresschangesandchangesincontactinformation.

    IfGive2Asiaisunabletocontactafundadvisorafteraperiodofthreeyears,andtherehavebeennocontributionsorgrantrecommendationsbythedesignatedfundadvisors

    duringthatperiod,Give2Asiareservestherighttotransfertheassetsfromthefundatits

    owndiscretion.

    ForanyDisasterFund,ifGive2Asiaisunabletocontactafundadvisorafteraperiodofsixmonths, and there have been no contributions or grant recommendations by the

    designatedfundadvisorsduringthatperiod,Give2Asiareservestherighttotransferthe

    assetsfromthefundatitsowndiscretiontosupportdisasterresponse.

    12.AccountClosure:Fundsmaybecloseduponthewrittenrequestofalladvisorstoanaccountfollowingdisbursementofallfundsintheaccount.Fundswillautomaticallycloseifthereisa

    zerobalanceandtherehasbeennoactivityforthepreceding12months.
