We have been busy with gathering the penny drop money and counting it as well as enjoying spending time with our families during the Thanksgiving season. We hope that you and your family had a wonderful Thanksgiving as well. We are winding down this semester very rapidly, but prior to closing it out, the PTO was able to deliver a check to the school for just over $10,000 for items listed in our 2012/2013 budget. This is a great feat that could not have happened without your support. On another note, there will not be a December PTO meeting due to the busy schedule during the holiday season. Our next meeting will be in January. Thank you for your support of our school! ---LS PTO Officers A Note from the Principal, Mr. Lane Alexander Hello everyone, I want to thank our PTO, Teachers and families for making our Fall Festival another BIG success. I also want to thank those of you who came out for the Robert Hudson training for parents. I would like to ask you to encourage your children to finish the last few weeks of the semester strong. Please see they are doing their assignments and preparing for their tests; we want all of them to be successful. I hope you had a very Happy Thanksgiving and truly do remember how blessed we've been by GOD over the past year. May this holiday bring much happiness with your family. Oh My… Here Comes 2nd Grade…

Second Grade has been busy learning about caves and animals living there. We ended our study by visiting Rickwood Caverns. Everyone seemed to enjoy the cave and the playground, including Mrs. Carmon. Now, second grade is preparing for Christmas with writing Santa letters and making ornaments. Mrs. Davidson's class will be seeing a movie for Christmas, while Mrs. Carmon is planning a party at school for her students with a book exchange. She asks if you have not sent your $5.00 that you do so now. Both classes are finishing a science kit working with solids and liquids. Wow, second grade, when are you going to slow down??

Ways we are being proactive: doing our reading, spelling and math homework, listening to our teachers' instructions, following rules in classroom and school, and coming ready to work everyday!

Mrs. Davidson’s and Mrs. Carmon’s class

This month the AWESOME EAGLE EYE newsletter will highlight the activities and achievements of the Lacey’s Spring 2nd graders. This is an exciting time in their lives, and each and every day presents new opportunities…

We love Second Grade!

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!!!I would like to take this opportunity to thank

everyone for their participation in this year’s Auburn versus Alabama penny drop. Together we were able to raise over $1,000 for our teachers at the school. The money raised in the classroom goes directly to that classroom. Thank you for helping your children’s

classroom(s).
