INTRODUCTION4FUJITSU lIMITEDFujitsu is the second oldest IT company after IBM, established on June 20, 1935. In 1954, Fujitsu manufactured Japan's first computer. In 1992, Fujitsu introduced the world's first 21-inch full-colorplasma display. In June 1999 Fujitsu's historical connection with Siemens was revived, when the two companies agreed to merge their European computer operations into a new 50:50 joint venture called Fujitsu Siemens Computers, which became the world's fifth-largest computer manufacturing company.

CHALLENGES5FUJITSU lIMITEDWhile many senior IT strategists and business leaders agree the potential benefits of moving to a cloud model are compelling and increasingly attainable they are under no illusions regarding the challenges facing them on this journey.IT decision-makers have genuine concerns around issues such as security, data governance, reliability, performance, loss of control, cultural resistance, migration and integration. Not to mention the difficulty of selecting trusted cloud partners with the necessary capabilities, experience and market stability to support their specific ambitions.

CHALLENGES6FUJITSU lIMITEDThe world faces a variety of problems that are complex and difficult to solve quickly. These include the need to conserve resources, protect the environment and develop new medical therapies. Supercomputers perform calculations at super-high speeds, processing massive amounts of information. This allows them to recreate or model a wide variety of phenomena inside the computer, such as the unobservable internal structure of the earth, large-scale disasters that cannot be reproduced and the effects of pharmaceuticals on the human body that are not clearly understood..FUTURE TRENDS7FUJITSU lIMITEDIn 2014, the Internet-of-Things markets will rapidly develop, the industry size of mobile devices is also growing, and the related market development and technological evolution will also go increasingly fast.

Recently, at an industrial and technological outlook symposium in Shenzhen, the leading semiconductor manufacturers delivered presentations on the market trends of these hot industry topics, covering

Internet-of-Things applications, smart green lighting, mobile terminal devices image processing technology trends, and so on.

NEED OF CONTROL IT11FUJITSU lIMITEDFujitsu understands the importance of process within IT delivery and, taking the standards set by the IT Governance Institute, is looking to the future to implement and develop the IT Governance that will deliver business benefit.

Work is already underway on the development of controls for the emerging VPIs. The first step was the commitment of the Board to focus on the core business of infrastructure management, and then to share that vision with clients to understand what will be important to them and the implementation priorities

GOVERNANCE OF THE INFORMATION SYSTEM12FUJITSU lIMITEDThe first stage is nearing completion and Fujitsu has identified the framework that manages the conflicting domains within complex VPIs. They are:

Data - to map and manage the informationTechnology - to understand the limitsOperational - to be the most efficient Security - to meet the complex needs of different organizationsEnterprise Management - to monitor and control the environment Commercial - to support users that are demanding value

NEXT 10 YEARS13FUJITSU lIMITEDFujitsus strength rests in its ability to understand an organizations business strategy, and to develop a correlated IT strategy that incorporates an infrastructure that delivers optimum commercial value.

The next ten years will see a complete shift to measurable value within the IT arena. Fujitsu has the tools, framework and vision to deliver a future based on IT Governance.

RISK MANAGEMENT14FUJITSU lIMITED

The Fujitsu Limited have provided Group-wide risk management and compliance systems. Risk Management & Compliance Committee is an assigned internal control committee who reports directly to management to promote the global risk management and compliance system. This committee appoints Chief Risk Compliance Officers at each division of Fujitsu Limited and each Group company.

RISK MANAGEMENT15FUJITSU lIMITEDIn general, Risk Management & Compliance Committee identifies, analyzes, and evaluates the risks and confirms the detailed measures intended to deal with major risks by avoiding, minimizing, transferring or retaining them. Important risks need to be reported to the Management Council. Besides preventing, it is also necessary for the committee to prepare responses against the risk when it actually happens.

In practical terms, it decides on risk management regulations and guidelines, applies them and regularly reviews and improves them.RISK MANAGEMENT16FUJITSU lIMITEDFollowing are the risk management activities that Fujitsu conduct:Group-Wide Disaster PreparednessImplementing Disaster Preparedness Self Checks at Each Business Site Carrying Out Joint Inspections by Specialist Teams Business Continuity ManagementStrengthening BCM for Our Entire Supply ChainTraining Specialists in BCMMeasures against New Strains of InfluenzaRisk Management Education

Recently, increasing numbers of business units have been using ProjectWEB to prevent security incidents, which demonstrates its ability to be used not only in projects, but also in various other business arenas.

Fujitsu introduced ProjectWEB as a mechanism for practicing knowledge management (KM) on the network and it is based on the concept of providing a work site on a network allowing activities across different business locations at all hours. Because it is a Web-based application, it allows real-time sharing of information between different business locations by having clients to connect to a network.KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT40FUJITSU lIMITEDOverview of functionsCommunication functionsIt is a group of function that assist communication including sharing of information between project members.
