Since the pool first opened in October 2004, there have been over 200,000 recorded attendances. In 2016 the pool underwent an exciting upgrade which included extensive retiling of the pool bowl and solar heating. The work has given the centre a fresh, welcoming look and the solar heating means we can keep the pool open for a longer swimming season, and provide our swimming patrons a more comfortable swimming experience.

The Gingin Aquatic Centre is the go-to place for our community to cool off and socialise- whether it to be for a swim, a party, family gathering or casual function. For more information, please contact our friendly pool team, Fran and Beck, who will be happy to help you.

The Gingin Aquatic Centre is part of the Gingin Recreation Centre, located behind the main building next to the Bendigo Complex.

Please note: Any child wearing a nappy is required to wear a waterproof ‘aqua-nappy’ whenever in the pool. Aqua-nappies are available for purchase at the kiosk.

PRIVATE SWIMMING LESSONSLouise Schmidt from Seastarz Swim School will be offering private swimming lessons for children of all ages on Sundays at the pool. VACSWIMVacSwim swimming lessons for your children are available in the school holidays. There are two series for children who are 5 years or over on the first day of classes.

Program 1:Eight (8) x 45 minute lessonsWednesday 3 January to Friday 12 January 2018 starting at 9.00am

Program 2:Nine (9) x 40 minute lessonsMonday 15 January to Thursday 25 January 2018 starting at 9.00am

EARLY MORNING SWIMAre you an early riser? Do you prefer to exercise first thing in the morning? If so, the pool is open from 6.00am – 7.30am on Monday, Wednesday and Friday for your convenience.

GINGIN SUPER SEALSTraining days for the Gingin Aquatic Club Inc Swim Squad (aka the Gingin Super Seals) are Monday and Wednesday from 3.30pm. For more information contact the pool’s senior coach, Beck Foulkes-Taylor, on 0428 310 734.

VIRTUAL ROTTNEST SWIMThis year’s Virtual Rottnest Swim will be held on Saturday 24 February 2018. Get a team together to swim the 19.7km to “Rotto”… no sharks - no seaweed - no waves!

TRIATHLONThe Aquatic Centre will again host the swimming leg of the Gingin Triathlon. This is a family-friendly event suitable for people of all fitness levels. So get a team together or compete solo and mark 25 March 2018 on your calendar for another fantastic community event.
