Newsletter Week 11 Term 1
Its Easter Time Please remember to send in your Easter Eggs and raffle tickets for the Easter Raffle. This raffle is one of the P & C’s biggest fundraisers, so your assistance is greatly appreciated. The Easter Hat Parade will be on Thursday 10th April. Children make their hats at home and bring in on Thursday morning or with parents/grandparents at 11am in time for the Easter Buns. A note went home on Monday for student, parent/caregivers and grandparents to order their morning tea Easter Buns. ANZAC DAY The school will be taking part in the Gilgai Anzac Day service on Friday 25th April. All students will need to assemble opposite the Gilgai Store at 8.15 in full winter uniform. Please remember sunscreen.
Uniform As of next term the uniforms have had a slight increase in price.
Appointment Time If you are wishing to discuss any matters relating to your child/ren, please ring the office first and make an appointment with Mrs Gallagher. Mrs Halliday is on class Monday, Tuesday and Thursday and other teachers have morning tea and lunchtime duties and may be unavailable.

Figuring out, and agreeing, where we stand as parents is hard enough, then begins the ongoing effort of holding those boundaries secure and consistent. Make this job a lot easier for yourself by getting comfortable with this concept: Love and Limits are closely intertwined. If you feel as though it’s not possible to be a loving parent as you set a limit, or that you have to be gruff and unfriendly to get this job done, then you might find you resist doing it full-stop. Remind yourself often that good parents are confident and loving as they hold the line, and that children can cope with hearing what they don’t want to hear. “Learning from your own mistakes is clever; learning from the mistakes of others is wise.”
