There are a number of special needs this year, like a copy machine for the office (our current one was bought in pony express days), a new airconditioning compressor for the education building, and a part-time hostess. CHRISTMAS FAMILY NIGHT is scheduled for Sunday, December 9, 1984, 7:00 p.m. In preparation for this happy occasion for all the family we need helpers to prepare our buildings.

On Tuesday, December 4, 1984, all who can help are asked to go out with the group to cut boxwood for making wreaths and decorating our buildings. On Thursday, December 6, 1984, we need folks to help make Christmas wreaths, etc. Hours will be announced later. APPRECIATION IS EXPRESSED to Ruling Elder and Mrs. Louis E. Swanson who have served for many months as Orange Presbytery's Ruling Elder and member-at-large in the organization of the new Presbyterian Church in North Durham.

PENNIES-FOR-HUNGER are collected the last Sunday of each month (November 25) to help alleviate hunger. Our receipts for October were $80.12. A special contain­er is placed in the Narthex on the last Sunday for this offering. 25% remains in Durham for Meals-On-Wheels and 75% goes to support the Nutritional Center in Zaire a project of Orange Presbytery.
