Dear friends, Ms Dina Korzun and Ms Chulpan Khamatova, the founders of Podari Zhizn Foundation (Gift of Life) invite you to celebrate the launch of Gift of Life Charity in the United Kingdom on the Old Russian New Year Eve, 13 January 2012 in London. Founded in 2006 in Russia Podari Zhizn Foundation has grown into one of the country’s biggest and most in�luential charitable foundations helping thousands of children suffering from cancer by enabling them to get access to otherwise unobtainable medical care. Gift of Life Charity was registered in the United Kingdom in 2011 to support projects of Podari Zhizn Foundation abroad. You can �ind out more about Gift of Life at www.givelifenow.co.uk. The event programme includes welcome speeches by the founders, patrons and celebrity guests; a festive dinner and drinks; auction and lottery; children’s art sale; an ambient performance by the acclaimed jazz band Nino Katamadze & Insight all set against the opulent backdrop of the beautiful museum to make the night truly unforgettable. It is traditional for Russians to welcome the New Year twice, on 31 December and on 13 January, due to a historic change from the Julian to the Gregorian calendar in 1918. This two-week celebration is a favourite with children in Russia seen as a gift that keeps on giving. Timing: 7 pm – 12:30am. Drinks reception from 7 to 8pm followed by the programme from 8pm to 12.15am. Carriages at 12:30am. Venue: The Wallace Collection, Hertford House, Manchester Square, London W1U 3BN.
