BIOGRAPHY: GARY GODDARD very best 3D and 4D attractions in the world. Starting with THE SENSORIUM for Six Flags in 1985 (the world’s fi rst 3D and 4D attraction), Goddard went on to create THE TIME MACHINE OF DREAMS and JOURNEY INTO NATURE for Sanrio Company of Japan, both 3D fi lms in special 4D theatres. In 1996 TERMINATOR 2/3D opened at Universal Studios, followed by THE AMAZING ADVENTURES OF SPIDER-MAN at Universal’s Islands of Ad-venture in 1999. In 2002, HERSHEY’S REALLY BIG 3D SHOW opened at Hershey’s Chocolate World, and in 2005, A FISH STORY opened in The Georgia Aquarium, the world’s largest Aquarium.

In the world of attractions, resorts and casinos, his successes stretch beyond attractions into highly successful resorts, casinos, and shop-ping centers throughout the world. From creating THE FORUM SHOPS AT CAESARS in Las Vegas, to developing HERSHEY’S TIMES SQUARE in New York; from master planning the expan-sion of CAESAR’S PALACE in Las Vegas, to creating all of the interior designs for THE STAR CITY CASINO in Sydney; from creating the massive new shopping experience CROSSROADS OF THE WORLD in Jakarta, to designing the incredible GALAXY MEGA-RESORT in Macau, there is no limit to what Goddard and his team of designers have accomplished.

In the world of motion pictures and television, Goddard directed the epic sci-fi fantasy MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE starring Frank Langella, Dolph Lundgren, and in her motion picture debut, Courtney Cox. Goddard wrote the screenplays for TARZAN THE APE MAN for MGM Studios, AGAINST THE GODS for Frank Yablans and Paramount Pictures, and SPACE COMMANDOS for Ned Tannen and Universal Pictures. He created the groundbreaking television show CAPTAIN POWER & THE SOLDIERS OF THE FUTURE for MTS, the fi rst television show to bring digital ani-mated creatures to life in a weekly live-action television series. He followed this up with SKELETON WARRIORS for CBS Network, and then MEGA BABIES for The Fox Kids Network.

On Broadway he co-produced hit productions that include the Tony-Award winning TRU, THE BIG LOVE, SHERLOCK’S LAST CASE, and JEKYLL & HYDE. On the west coast he directed the only live stage production of JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR to feature original motion picture stars, Ted Neeley, Carl Anderson and Yvonne Elliman on stage together. He also directed the Western United States and Canadian tour of GODSPELL. For Walt Disney World in Florida, he co-created and directed the acclaimed HOOP DEE DOO SHOW at PIONEER HALL, a wild-west dinner experi-ence that continues to be the #1 rated dinner show at Walt Disney World. For the MGM Grand he created EFX!, the $60,000,000 special effects spectacular that ran for 9 years and starred Michael Crawford, David Cassidy, Tommy Tune, and Rick Springfi eld.

As the founder of Landmark Entertainment Group (originally formed in 1980 as Gary Goddard Productions), he built that company into the largest independent design company in the world. He left Landmark in 2002 to form a new company dedicated to creating attractions for the rapidly expanding international market.

Gary has provided ongoing design and consultation for many of the largest entertainment and leisure com-panies on the planet including UNIVERSAL STUDIOS, WALT DISNEY WORLD, CAESAR’S PALACE, MGM GRAND, SANRIO COMPANY, ITT SHERATON, THE SANDS CORPORATION, SUN INTER-NATIONAL, MATTEL TOYS, THE HILTON LAS VEGAS and PARAMOUNT PARKS and HERSHEY CHOCOLATE COMPANY.

He has collaborated with industry leaders and visionaries that include JAMES CAMERON, STEVEN SPIELBERG, BRYAN SINGER, DEAN DEVLIN, ARNOLD SCHWARTZENEGGER, HENRY GLUCK, former Chairman and CEO of Caesar’s Palace, JAY STEIN, former Chairman and CEO of Universal Stu-dios Theme Parks, MARC DAVIS, Walt Disney’s original handpicked designer for all the major attractions at Disneyland, JACKIE CHAN, PRINCE ALWALEED, and BERNIE MARCUS, founder of Home Depot Stores.

In the world of theme parks and attractions, Gary Goddard is considered the top creator in the fi eld to-day and is named on the inventor’s patents for many of the greatest attractions in the world; creations that include TERMINATOR 2/3D, THE JURASSIC PARK RIVER ADVENTURE, STAR TREK: THE EXPE-RIENCE, and THE AMAZING ADVENTURES OF SPIDER-MAN. Goddard continues to be an industry leader, creating, designing, directing and producing a wide range of unique entertainment based attractions, resorts, shopping malls, casinos and more, as evidenced in this partial listing of recent and on-going projects around the world:

In November of 2005, THE GEORGIA AQUARIUM, the world’s largest Aquarium, opened to unprecedented acclaim and success. Gary Goddard led the original con-cept and design team and then supervised the production of 26 separate soundtracks for each of the many underwater exhibits. GGE partnered with Aquarium benefactor Bernie Marcus to create DEEPO’S UNDERSEA 3D WONDERSHOW, an animated musical attraction for families that supports and supplements the overall aquarium experience.

In April of 2006, HERSHEY’S CHOCOLATE FACTORY RIDE, designed and produced by Gary Goddard, opened to critical and popular acclaim, providing Her-shey’s Chocolate World with a 33% increase in attendance and a 36% increase in revenues.

In August of 2006 Goddard directed and produced the one night only benefi t gala reunion production of JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR in Hollywood, reuniting the original motion picture cast TED NEELEY, YVONNE ELLIMAN and BARRY DENNEN live on stage, with special guest stars JACK BLACK as Herod, Las Vegas star CLINT HOLMES as Simon, and Tony-award winner BEN VEREEN as Judas.

2008 will see the opening of CROSSROADS OF THE WORLD, an incredible 500,000 square foot immersive retail shopping mall, designed and produced by GGE; a key attraction for the GRAND INDONESIA destination complex in Jakarta.

2009 will usher in THE GALAXY MEGA-CASINO & RESORT, a 3000 room hotel and destination resort that will open in Macau. This will be followed by the opening of HERSHEY’S CHOCOLATE WORLD in SHANGHAI, Hershey’s fi rst venture in Asia. Both projects are created and designed by Goddard and the GGE team.

In 2010 the all-new TROPICANA RESORT & CASINO in Las Vegas will open its doors with over 10,000 guest rooms, making it the largest hotel in Vegas, and per-haps, in the world. GGE is responsible for creating the exterior street front design along with the interior retail, casino and public spaces.

When it comes to the world of entertainment and leisure development, Gary God-dard and his team have no equal in the industry today. The incredible breadth of their projects, the amazing record of their success, and the broad range of their experience in both design and production, gives GGE a uniquely original position in the industry. In fact, no other independent design company or single designer can point to as rich a history as that which is found with Gary Goddard and his com-pany. Gary Goddard and his team are truly creating the greatest attractions in the world.
