THE WOMENʼS CONFERENCE AMAGI SANSO

JANUARY 21-23, 2011

HEALTH AND HEALING:

Mind, Body and Spirit

In Matthew 22:39 we read, “The second most impor-tant commandment is like unto it: Love thy neighbor as thy self.” Jesus tells us that to really love others you must first love yourself. In the day to day “busy-ness” of life, we often forget to take care of and nur-ture our own inner needs/hurts/health. How then can we fully enjoy the God given and good gifts of Health and Healing? Come join us this weekend to take time out of our busy lives to explore who we are as loving women and learn healthy ways to not only love and take care of ourselves, but to learn to love and care for others more fully. Surrounded by the beauty of nature, with old friends and new, we will take the time to again to fill our cups, listening again to the stories of Christʼs heal-ing words. from yoga to belly-holding laughter. Take time to explore what is really important to each of us, whether evident or buried deep inside. How each of us reach and explore our inner peace will be at our own pace, at our own comfort level, helped and supported by the activities offered at this yearʼs con-ference, by the beauty that Amagi Sanso offers, and of course by the gift of women coming together to laugh, to share, to re-connect. Whole Group sessions will engage your imagination in biblical stories, engender reflection using creative journaling, and invite response along with communal singing. Brief presentations on Friday Evening by our workshop leaders and sign ups to follow will en-able participants to choose workshops among our many options. Some will be introspective and reflec-tive for examining Health and Healing, Mind Body and Spirit, some more didactic and informative, and some just for fun! Something for everyone! It is our hope that participants will go home with a new perspective of who they are, be filled with new and useful information on Health and Healing, and feel good about taking the time to care for their spe-cial/unique needs as women, as well as feel re-freshed by re-connected friendships and new friends made along the way. As one woman reflected on her evaluation form last year, “Each year the Womenʼs Conference reinvents itself in new and amazing and memorable ways.” We know that this year will be no different, and yet, it is the hope of the planning committee that each woman will leave a little more refreshed, a little more affirmed, a little more light-hearted, and a lot more loved!

Come join us for yet another amazing and memorable weekend!

The 54rd Womenʼs Conference Who We Are

The Women's Conference began as a gathering of female missionary workers in 1957 and has grown to embrace all women who want to share in it. Its program themes are rooted in the love that is taught by Jesus in the Bible which is en-trusted to the next yearʼs conference planning committee. There is no formal organization. For over fifty years, each new conference fosters mu-tual blessing, friendship and renewal.
