• Try drawing a square below

• Try putting the tip of the triangle at the tip of the finger

• Now try while holding the alt key

• Try stretching the triangle to fit into the box

• Now try while holding the Shift key

• Select all six shapes below and enlarge

• Now try grouping the objects together first

Editing Grouped Objects• Make the pentagon red and each of the

surrounding circles different colours• Then bring the pentagon to the front

Making a Graphic

• Let’s make an ATP molecule• Trace the ATP using shapes

When finished:• Add lines as needed

between shapes• hold control then click

on each of your shapes and lines

• Group the shapes into one object

• Delete the original image

Tracing• Used the curved line tool to trace the car• Hold control to draw a straight line• Double click to finish the shape• Right click and select “edit points” to make adjustments• Group all your shapes to make it a graphic

Finding the Right Image

• It is usually best to search for high resolution images using the google search tools

Manipulating images• Make your fish work on black by using the

“remove background” tool

Manipulating Images• Make it work on a fun background

using the “set transparent colour” tool

• Now make it whatever colour you want!

Animations

• USE CUSTOM ANIMATIONS• Always display the animation pane

• Make the image above “Fly In” from the left

• Test the animation by pressing play4 – Using Animations

Object slide

• I like to keep a slide of the objects I created that will be used throughout the PowerPoint

• Use control + m to create a new slide• Copy and paste your ATP, car, Bunsen

burner, fish in blub and flammable sign into this slide.

• I have already done this for you using my images. Feel free to do it with yours
