Signing into BigRoad

If you have started a trial, or have an account with BigRoad, press Sign In

If you are adding a truck, enter your truck details

Press Add Truck

The last truck you drove will be at the top, the remaining fleet trucks are listed below

If the truck you are driving is not already part of the fleet, press Add

To start your day, change your duty status by pressing the center of the time clock

A drop down menu will appear with the different duty status options

Press On Duty

Once signed in, you will be directed to the main screen of BigRoad

BigRoad helps track your available hours in each duty status; including breaks

Once you’ve change your duty status, BigRoad will calculate, and count down the number of hours availabe to you

You will then be directed to a recap screen where you will see a breakdown of your availability and resets

Press Edit Logs

To complete the pre trip inspection, press Daily Logs from the main screen of BigRoad

Scroll down to the bottom of the screen

Press New Inspection

Double check that all information is correct

If no defects are found, you can note in the Remarks and Defects section “ Pre Trip Inspection”

In Canada, note the schedule in the remarks section i.e., As per schedule 1, no defects found

Press Save

Choose the vehicle you are inspecting If there is a defect found during your inspection, check the Found Defects box

BigRoad requires you to note the defect found i.e., pre-trip, cracked tail light, driver side

Press the Remarks and Defects to enter the defect

Sending a Message/Document to Dispatch

From this screen, you will be able to create a New Chat, or select a previous chat

To send a document such as a fuel reciept, or a POD press the Documents botton

BigRoad allows you easy two-way communication with users within your BigRoad fleet using the messages feature

Press Messages from the home screen of BigRoad

You now have to option to select Camera or Gallery

Gallery: Allows you to select a picture that was previously taken

Camera: Opens the camera app on your device so that you can take a picture

Notes

The image will be uploaded onto the screen

The image folder on your mobile device will appear

Press on the image you would like to send to dispatch

If you would like to make a note as to what the document is that you are sending, you can write it in the Notes section

You may also send the document to an email address by pressing Add email and entering in the email

Press Send to Dispatch8

Editing BigRoad Logs

Press Edit Logs in the bottom right hand corner

BigRoad allows you to edit your logs, just as you would with a paper log

To edit, press Daily Logs from the home screen of BigRoad

BigRoad will bring you to the current day. To edit previous days, you can press the back arrow in the top right hand corner. Note: you can only edit the past 14 days of your logs

Select the event you would like to edit

Press Edit

You can also edit the exact time of the event by clicking on the time and setting it to a specific time

Once you have selected the correct time, press Set

You can edit your Duty Status by clicking on the Status, change the Start and End time, and enter in any Notes for that duty status

To edit the event in 15 minutes increments, press the arrows

When you are done editing your event, press Save

You can also delete an event by pressing Delete

Completing a Post Trip Inspection

You will then be directed to the recap screen

Press Edit Logs

To do your post trip inspection, press Daily Logs from the main screen of BigRoad

Scroll down to the bottom of the screen

Press New Inspection

Enter the ending odometer

If no defects are found, you can note in the Remarks and Defects section “ Post Trip Inspection”

In Canada, note the schedule you are following for the inspection i.e., As per schedule 1, post trip, no defects

Press Save

Choose the vehicle you would like to inspect

If there is a defect found during your inspection, check the Found Defects box

BigRoad requires you to note the defect that was found

Press the Remarks and Defects to write in the defect

Validation Warnings

BigRoad notifies you of the number of days with an infraction you have within the past 14 days

Press the Yellow Caution Symbol

BigRoad will direct you to the first day where you have a validation warning. It indicates the missing information for that day by displaying this symbol. You may then fix the issue

Note: The validation warnings will not disappear until infractions are corrected

BigRoad warns you if you have any infractions. An infraction could be a form and manner, a missing signature, and/or HOS violation

There will be a clear indication of an infraction with a yellow warning sign by the Daily Logs

Roadside Inspection

Press Inspect LogsTo show your logs to a MOT officer, press Daily Logs

BigRoad gives you the following options for the officer to inspect your logs

The Officer will then be able to inspect the past 8 or 15 days of your logs

After choosing an inspection view option, you then have the option to show 7 days plus today, or 14 days plus today

Once the Officer has completed inspecting your logs, they can exit the inspection mode and return the device to you

Setting Up Your Profile

Press My Profile To configure the settings and profile, press on the three squares or lines (apple devices) in the top right hand corner

Press Settings

Here you will be able to enter in your information

Change Password

Change your Rule Cycle by pressing Rules...

Set the Home Time Zone

You may also set your signature

Press Change Signature

If you pressed Rules... you will be direced to this page where you can Select your Cycle, choose your Vehicle Type, and check off any U.S Exceptions you may run under

After everything is set in your profile, press Done
