Getting  apps  into  your  Ambit  

It  seems  that  many  people  have  problem  with  understanding  how  to  get  downloaded  apps  into  their  Suunto  device.  I  use  a  Suunto  Ambit2,  and  this  manual  is  made  for  this  device  although  I  believe  it  is  the  same  for  other  Suunto  devices.    I  assume  that  you  have  already  registered  with  Movescount  and  installed  Moveslink2,  so  I  will  not  get  into  this.    

1. Find  the  app  you  ’d  like  to  download  in  App  Zone.  Klick  on  it  and  this  window  opens  (this  will  look  a  bit  different  for  different  apps,  but  is  in  general  the  same).    

     Klick  the  ”SAVE  APP”  button.      

2. Now  klick  on  the  label  ”Gear/Suunto  Ambit2”  (see  pic  below)    

   

3. Now  this  window  opens.  Klick  on  ”CUSTOMIZATION”  to  show  the  different  sports    

   

4. Klick  on  the  sport  where  you  want  to  use  the  app.  In  this  example  we  will  chose  ”running”.    

   Klick  on  the  ”EDIT”  button,  and  the  following  menu  opens.  (Below).  Here  you  can  edit  the  screens  of  your  watch,  and  it  is  here  you  add  your  downloaded  app  by  klicking  on  the  watch  symbol  labeled  ”Add  display”.  

 

   

Please  NOTE  that  this  menu  doesn’t  look  exactly  as  yours.  This  is  because  I  have  made  some  customizations  to  mine.  This  makes  no  difference!  

5. When  you  klick  the  watch  symbol  (previous  pic),  the  ”watch”  looks  like  this.  Note  that  a  new  display  is  turned  on.      

   Now  press  the  arrows  on  the  ”watch”  to  select  the  look  you  want.  When  you  find  the  one  you  like  (i  suggest  you  try  out  different  styles  to  get  the  one  you  want),  klick  the  little  blue  arrow  and  the  following  menu  opens.          

   Now  just  chose  wich  app  you  want  on  the  screen  and  klick  OK.  The  next  time  you  connect  your  watch  to  your  computer  the  settings  in  your  watch  will  update.    You  are  DONE!!    I  hope  this  little  guide  was  helpful.    Regards  Anders.
