Getting to SoPlace 2.02

KLIA /KLIA2 TO PUTRAJAYAThere are three modes of preferred transportation available from SoPlace 2.0 [Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC)] or to your hotel.

BY AIRPORT TAXIIf comfort is more important than expenses, take the airport taxis. It is called the airport limo, you can choose your taxi, and they range from a Malaysian sedan to a Jaguar.

BY TAXIThere is a taxi station that is located here. You can request for the rate from the counter located here before taking the taxi. The meter starts at RM4 the moment you step into the taxi. It will probably cost you about RM8-RM15 from the taxi station to the surrounding areas in Putrajaya.

BY ERL TRAIN/BUSTo get to Putrajaya/PICC, get on the KLIA Transit train and alighted at the Putrajaya Sentral. From there, you can hail a taxi to your hotel/PICC or you can get on the NadiPutra601 (departs every 30-minutes starting from 6.45am). The KLIA Transit terminal at KLIA is located on the 3rd floor (arrivals) of the Main Terminal Building, and at KLIA2, is accessible from the Gateway KLIA2 Complex. The KLIA Transit trains start operation from KLIA at 5.52am. The last train leaves KLIA at 1:03am. It takes about 13 minutes to reach Putrajaya Sentral from KLIA with a train frequency of 30 minutes. The fare from KLIA to Putrajaya Sentral is RM6.20/adult and RM3/child. For ticket purchase, look for the purple The ERL counters/automatic ticket machines. You should pass them on your way to get to your luggage.

KL SENTRAL TO PUTRAJAYAPutrajaya Sentral is the first destination of Putrajaya city. Both bus and train services will reach this point before heading into the inner part of Putrajaya City - the main public transportation hub of Putrajaya. Located at the west side of Putrajaya, this is the place where public transportation from other parts of Selangor stop. The KLIA Express Rail Link that links KLIA to KL Sentral has a station here. If you prefer to take buses which are very much cheaper compared to the ERL, the two major bus companies that are operating here are Rapid KL and Nadi Putra. Rapid KL take passengers from outside of Putrajaya from places such as Bandar Utama, Serdang and Cyberjaya whereas Nadi Putra routes are confined to within Putrajaya.

There are two modes of preferred transportation available from KL Sentral to SoPlace 2.0 [Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC)] or to your hotel.

BY ERL TRAINThere are 2 types of Train – The KLIA Express and the KLIA Transit. These trains have similar facilities and share the same lines. KLIA Transit is the operator of trains to and from Putrajaya Sentral. Putrajaya station is situated in the Kuala Lumpur International Airport train line. Though KLIA Express and KLIA Transit trains are passing through the Putrajaya Sentral, The KLIA Transit is the only train stops at Putrajaya Sentral. (KLIA Express is a non-stopping service from KL Sentral to KLIA/KLIA2 airport).

The fastest way of reaching Putrajaya from KL Sentral is through KLIA Transit train. To get to Putrajaya/PICC, get on the KLIA Transit train and get off at the Putrajaya/Cyberjaya (Putrajaya Sentral). The check-in and ticket counter are at the Level 1 of the KL Sentral complex. Train takes 17 minutes to reach Putrajaya from KL Sental with one stopping at the middle. KLIA Transit operates with 20-minute and 30-minute intervals during peak and off-peak hours, respectively. The one way train fare is around RM9.50/adult and RM4.50/child. In-train, pre-recorded station arrival information would be announced upon approaching every station. KLIA Transit train stops Bandar Tasik Selatan station before reaching Putrajaya Sentral. Bandar Tasik Selatan station is a junction for KTM Seremban, Ampang Line and KLIA transit. This station is also the bus terminal for buses bound from South Malaysia and Singapore. From Putrajaya Sentral, hail a taxi to your hotel or PICC.

BY BUSIf you prefer long journey with nice sightseeing landscapes, bus is best option of unblocking view when compare the train counterpart. The bus service E1 operated by Rapid KL to and from Pasar Seni (LRT station) to Putrajaya Sentral. This bus passes through KL Sentral station off Jalan Tun Sambanthan street. (Note: It’s not easy to find the bus stops around KL Sentral, as different services arrive and depart from different location around KL Sentral). One way bus fare about RM3.80 which is less than half of the fare of KLIA Transit trains. Exact fare must be paid on the bus or using Touch N Go card. (Note: Touch N Go is a multipurpose rechargeable card can be used for transportation and selected transportation companies in KL/Malaysia.)

Recommended starting point at KL - KL Sentral station for KLIA Transit Train; Pasar Seni LRT station/KL Sental for Rapid KL bus service number E1 (Note : Pasar Seni/Pasar Seni LRT station is the hub for Rapid KL bus services, which is situated in the Kelana Jaya-Putra LRT line) Recommended ending point at Putrajaya - Putrajaya Sentral. From Putrajaya Sentral, hail a taxi to your hotel or PICC.
