Tire Pressure Monitor(if equipped)

The Tire Pressure Monitor alerts you when asignificant reduction in pressure occurs inone or more of your vehicle’s tires byilluminating the (low tire pressure)warning light on the instrument panel cluster. The low tire pressure warning light willremain on until you correct the tire pressure.A CHECK TIRE PRESSURE message mayalso appear on the DIC (if equipped).Correcting the Tire PressureWhen the low tire pressure warning lightilluminates, you must fill the tire to the propertire inflation pressure (just as you must refuelthe vehicle when the low fuel warning lightilluminates). The Tire and LoadingInformation label shows the correct inflationpressure for the tires when they’re cold.“Cold” means your vehicle has been sittingfor at least three hours or driven no morethan one mile. You can temporarily clear the DIC messageby acknowledging it with your DIC controls. However, at the next vehicle startup, the DICmessage will reappear if the tire pressurehas not been corrected.During cooler conditions, the low tirepressure warning light may appear when thevehicle is first started and then turn off asyou start to drive the vehicle. This could bean early indicator that your tire pressures aregetting low and need to be inflated to theproper pressure.

See Section 5 of your Owner Manual.

Note: The Tire Pressure Monitor can alertyou about low tire pressure, but it doesn’treplace normal monthly tire maintenance.
