WHAT ARE SOME OF THE
INDICATORS OF AN IDMS
• Chemical odours
• Tins of solvents
• Improvised heating and cooling systems
• Cold and flu medications, packets or bottles, empty
pseudoephedrine packets, gas cylinders, butane fuel
cans, water purifiers, stained coffee filters, pH test strips
• Laboratory glassware
• Chemical reaction waste (brownish sludge liquid)
• Jars or bottles with bi-phasic liquid (two colours)
• Plastic containers or drums with hoses attached
WHAT TO DO• GET OUT AND STAY OUT of the premises
• Move everyone to a safe area
• Contact your supervisor, COMCEN or District Control Centre
• Ensure WA Police Organised Crime Squad On Call Duty
