OUR MISSION Looking back, my “Rabbit Hole” began at age 13 when I had the first Grand Mal Seizure. Subsequently, there have been so many different types of medications that affected my body in many terrible ways. In addition, I have had two unsuccessful Temporal Lobe Surgeries, yet I march on. I became an Ambassador for a website where others with epilepsy talk about daily issues; seizures, meds, and depression. That's when I decided to organize the first “Neurology Awareness Fair” which took place on October 1st, 2016. The enthusiastic response to the fair has inspired me to continue and make it an annual event and create a non-profit organization. GOALS 1. Provide an informal forum for a wide spectrum of neurology doctors to speak directly to with patients and caregivers. 2. Offer a unique opportunity for those who have questions to access a wide range of doctors and service providers. 3. The fair will provide information about new and exciting methods in the treatment of a wide variety of neurological conditions. This information will be valuable to patients and caregivers. SPECIFICATION Neurology Awareness Fair will include information pertaining to: Epilepsy, Parkinson's Disease, Neuro Psychology, Vascular Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Autism Spectrum, Alzheimer's Disease, Speech & Language Pathology, Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation.
